most annoying camping neighbour

2013 Mrs Yokel Again was with child and ended up camped next to some very posh teenage girls  - coming back to the tent at 4am and playing shite music. Luck of the draw really - it's Glastonbury so I bit my tongue and didn't tell them to shut up. Didn't do a lot for my argument that the festival isn't made up of just posh teenagers these days though.

One in particular was well annoying.

It was only the Monday morning where they pissed me off, and I've probably been fine with it if it wasn't for my ginormous headache, great dizziness, a total lack of sense of where I was at the time and aches all over. Those people were a decent bunch apart from that.

In 2013, the security moved the guide lines of our neighbors tent to the point where it wasn't tight and made the inside layer of his sleeping bag wet when it rained.

He thought it was one of us that moved it so stormed out of his tent and preceded to break our other neighbors tent to pieces thinking it was them

Worst spirit I have ever seen at Glastonbury

As an aside, my 21 year old nephew is the loveliest person you could meet. We had a great time at Glastonbury last year. He is also in the British Kickboxing Squad so not really easily frightened by stuff like this.

At Download last year a group turned up, pitched their tent next to him and pulled up a couple of his pegs leaving one side of his rent hanging limp. He came back, undid their pegs and put his back. Next time he returned the same had happened so he didn't move their tent, just pulled his across the edge of theirs and hammered his pegs through their tent into the ground.

Then he cracked a beer and waited for them to return.

They decided to break camp and move somewhere else.

Luckily, neighbours at Glastonbury have always been ok but I've had some rubbish ones at other festivals.  One was at the long-dead Phoenix where The Sex Pistols played.....a neighbour spent all weekend shouting "FILTHY LUCRE, FILTHY FUCKING LUCRE" repetitively, at the top of his voice, day and night.   His mates thought it was funny for about the first 24hours but after 3 days of it even they got pissed off.

Then at Bestival we had a group of 3 plonk their tent in a space so small between ours that they couldn't put it up properly so they tied it to ours.  One of the girls fancied herself as a bit of a Florence so screamed all night to a tinny-sounding stereo playing Flo ....but they would only play half a track then move to the next.....that went on for about 6 hours, with the 1 album that was available at the time. Ugh!

This I can relate to.... damn, hate it when people skip tracks halfway through anyway so at 3/4am in the morning that would be brutal.

Haven't really had an annoying neighbour at all, as I'm usually camped in staff camping, but a couple years ago there was a nice couple I was camping next to who would have REALLY loud sex ALL night each night. I didn't mind it so much but you could hear it over the music lol. But then I'd see them next morning and they'd be fresh as a daisy haha.
