Care to tell me where and when Bestival has announced its final headliner to make that literally incorrect? :P

It has two headliners left to announce: Friday & Sunday.

The way that the article is written makes it sound like Muse are the last headliner to be announced. I think that's where the confusion is...

maybe they will be. It's not wrong until the announcements are made. :P

To be fair, Bestival did tweet the other day that they only had one headliner to announce.

Maybe they just assumed everyone had seen this self-confirmation, which seemed to slip completely under the radar (if the video was out before the tweet).

Nah video came after. Now we know this I would assume the tweet meant Sunday's headliner was the among the next announcements (along with the stages it named in the tweet) as this one might not be announced for six weeks.

Ah fair enough. Yeah when the tweet first came I assumed either that was the case, or that an act had been bumped to headliner.

Very unexpected booking - what do we reckon this will do for ticket sales? Will it sell out any quicker, this is the latest ive ever left getting a ticket so might have to jump on the payment plan asap

They'll never hit the heights of Starlight ever again.

The thing is though, they probably won't while they're making not even to be considered cheesy shite like Dead Inside!

For the record, New Born, Bliss and Blug In Baby are 3 of my favorites by them.

Presumably they'll be playing a festival-friendly set full of the old classics though, right?

Yeah but they'll be a few of the shitty recent singles & a couple of new tracks. I hope RDB just sticks them on for ages so we get everything decent & can go get a cider when Neutron Star Collision is on.

Highly doubt you'll ever see them playing that again! They only played it 3 times after release, they KNOW it's crap, that's why they let twilight use it haha

We'll get their tour setlist, bit weird as they are going festivals rather than thier own shows this summer...so who knows really :P

Hopefully its the promised heavy setlists and the mini pyscho tour had a few raritys/older songs :D

As for sales, hard to say, since you can't get day tickets but Bestival is a bit of a ballache to get to!

Good point, would make sense after Glastonbury then? Everyone on high from the weekend still/new punters ready to go to a festival after watching BBC...and Bam! You announce one of the biggest UK acts around!

    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
