I went and took a look - most of the posts following are "....was that it?!" - now I'm more terrified than ever.

Back to the koala stuff it is?

A koala wakes up next to a prostitute. The koala tries to sneak out of the motel room before the prostitute wakes up. As he opens the door, the protitute wakes up and says "where do you think you're going? You haven't paid me yet". The koala refuses to pay, so the protitute says "let's look in a dictionary for the definition of prostitute". The two proceed to look up the definition to find that it is 'someone who has sex for money'. The Koala then flips a few pages back to the definition of koala, then walks out of the room. Confused, the protitute looks down at the page. The dictionary says 'Koala: An animal who eats bushes and leaves'

Cheers.  The wording "no official showing" should give hope for Glade Cafe to still go ahead with it (should the logistics work out), guess it may not appear in their lineup if they do though.

An old couple were sat in church when the little old lady leans over to her husband and says "i've very very quietly farted and i'm worried it might smell, what do you think i should do ?". Well he says, the first thing you should do is change the batteries in your hearing aid.

Has anyone recently got through the 'processing max registrations' holding page?  I got through to it, panicked and am refreshing like mad but believe it might just happen when you press refresh too much?

it is indeed. Someone about 50 pages back posted about this. constantly press refresh for about 20 seconds and it appears

Ah, right. Thanks. Better go and apologise to the colleague I completely ignored, then!

I used to take lunch breaks - that was nice.  I'd go for a walk, or get some fresh air.  That was a while ago, I can't really remember.

lol! my washing pile is building up, so are my dishes, my daughter is still in her pyjamas and my boyfriend will come home from work to no cooked dinner again!

Just got into work. I'm guessing I've not missed anything, knob jokes aside?

Some back and forth about how tickets get allocated, areas have a set amount, they can request more but have to justify it.  Someone once got fired (as an area booker) for knowingly recruiting acts that they knew they didn't have enough 'area allocation' for.  Nobody knows if that's relevant, but interesting all the same.  Also talk of more tickets being available for the organisation of the festival, but Neil reckons they were already going over their allocation, so no extra breathing room really.  Koala needs a pot of tea today.  And no official showing of the rugby this year.

Edit: Also, Neil still seems hopeful, but obviously doesn't know - but if it's not happened by Tuesday then that is probably when we should scale down...

Perfect, thanks for the summary! :)

    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
    • Not at all impressed with Polanski saying "noone should be barred from public life" wrt the Tory neo-nazi. I really don't think "no nazis in politics" should be an excessive standard.
    • Dug into Milkweed some more and this was a brilliant suggestion. Thank you 🙂   This will come as no surprise, but I have been told that there are some band substitutions to come.
    • Yeah, I think it's important to differentiate between a stage that's just a platform for the artist to walk on (which can be assembled fairly quickly and without too much difficulty), and the custom staging that you get in big productions where there's a whole world underneath.   Using the Eras tour as an example the stage extending out into the stadium field has all sorts - lifts that go up or down - down most importantly as this allows performers to enter or to leave the stage as needed. There's passageways to get from one part of the stage to another. There's what are effectively dressing rooms set aside for costume changes. There's spare instruments (and techs to look after them) so if something goes wrong above they can be swapped out in the space of seconds. There's even a track and dolly system running the full length of the stage so that Taylor can be moved from one end to the other faster than she'd be able to walk.   I don't know the specifics of the Madonna tour to the same degree but my understanding is that a lot of the same techniques are used.
