I read on another thread that someone received cancelled tickets, no reports of anyone else as yet but this could be a reason for the lack of sale.

That's uncanny. I received two Glasto tickets in error earlier in the week. Had my photo on and everything. I rang SEE and told them there had been a mistake and I sent them back.

All issued tickets are valid if they're in the hand of the person who's photo is on them.

There's no mechanism by which an issued ticket can be revoked - no barcodes or other auditing, so the only scanning is of the security features & photo.

That doesn't happen, and even if they somehow tried to do so it wouldn't be in any way workable.

The people on the gates have too much to remember already, with the multiple different ticket types and wristbands that they'll see. It's not realistic to give them yet another thing to do.

Those working the gates are volunteers, most with very little experience in this sort of thing. It's a bit much to expect this from them.

Are you suggesting the festival have security around the entrances prepared to take those away who've been given a free ticket by the festival despite cancelling?
