deadpheasant
Would love FM but I don't think they're big enough, quite far down on the graspop lineup.

jamiemaher
Libertines Fleetwood Mac Blur Tales of Carl Barats sisters coming back into the possibles Neil? I've been adamant it isn't The Libs, I would definitely watch them but I just can't vision it I've posted this in other threads a few weeks ago, but I know that as of a few weeks ago The Libs management had totally priced them out of the running for Glastonbury. Talks had taken place pre-Reading/T announcements but the money that management asked for was far too high and there was no budging of the negotiations. This comes from a friend of mine who has worked with and is close to some members of the band. He was very frustrated because at least one of the band attends Glasto on a regular basis so he couldn't understand the reluctance to negotiate. The last he said was that (at the time) it was a total no-go. This of course could have changed by now, and could tie into the fact that this new headliner was only just signed up. Talks definately took place earlier in the year though. That's 100%.
Alan_C
I remember a few months ago Neil was doubting Libertines as a headliner of Glastonbury. What has changed? The fact that they have been able to fill outdoor gigs, or just that they tie in with gigs around that time?
Sketchead
Neil, is there a reason why the festival wouldn;t want to announce the Libertines yet? Reading & Leeds still have around a million tickets to shift to be fair.
eFestivals
Neil, is there a reason why the festival wouldn;t want to announce the Libertines yet? as someone said, Reading. Just as comparison, in 2000 V Fest had Stereophonics announced to headline, and Glastonbury had them as headliner, which wasn't confirmed until getting your programme going thru the gates. It's not impossible. Tales of Carl Barats sisters coming back into the possibles Neil? I've been adamant it isn't The Libs, I would definitely watch them but I just can't vision it I've heard nothing new. It's only just occurred to me that it might be them, just perhaps. Mezhyp1
Understood, il be sticking with it isn't them IE 2000, that just have been seriously disappointing busting through the gates for a programme only to be met with Stereophonics
