Gorrilaz have headlined Glasto, meaning they are definitely big enough to headline, whether they would fit into a T line up is a different topic all together.

they headlined as a late fill-in, after U2 had to cancel because Bono had done his back in (or something).

So that doesn't necessarily make them Glastonbury headliner status.

And it went down like a lead balloon with a lot of people.

In fairness, even Albarn basically said it was shite and he wasn't happy with it.

Just noticed Dave Rowntree tweeted an article about Blur doing T next year saying he'd love to do it. Not sure how much we can read into that though.

I'd very much imagine Ellis has been pushing for it already. I wouldn't be shocked to see them play there, I don't think they quite have a gig there that goes down in memory like Glastonbury did.

Apparently the set last time was absolutely brilliant. My wee cousin was there and loved the shortened set because they just flung the big guns out from start to finish with no break.

Oh I don't disagree it would of been great bus when even Damon is asked about a gig highlight, it was Glasto that came up. It does feel like the one not to tarnish. I actually feel like a T and R&L shared slot could happen. With a new album as well, I'd be surprised if they only did IOW and Hyde Park with no other gigs as well.

I don't believe in great moments getting tarnished. If it's possible to tarnish something just by doing it not so well in the future, then they weren't that great in the first place.

Oh I think it's possible. Sometimes, there can just be a moment with a band where everything, the setlist is perfect and that's how that band should end there. Not exactly like they were at the start of their careers there but possibly at the peak of their powers if you like.

If foo fighters don't reschedule there murrayfield gig I wouldn't be surprised to see them pop up a T next year.

It'll be Murray field I imagine, there is a lot of money in these gigs to lose out on things like that. T won't pay I doubt what their Stadium date will.

One word - QOTSA. Scotland needs more Queens

Taking a long break unfortunately. Hopefully we will live to see QOTSA at T again

Yeah makes sense. I had Foos as just coming back to the UK for R&L next year but they'll defo be coming back for Glasto/Wembley and that does open the door for TITP (Ellis would certainly take them).

Foo Fighters are definitely doing Glasto. I can see them doing Summer Sessions/R&L as well.

Wouldn't count on it.. Reckon they've signed a UK exclusive deal to reading and that means that they can't play Glastonbury

While Emilys comments did refer to Foo's a couple of years down the line, they have to try and make it seem like it wouldn't be a straight return for them as ticket day is going to be horrible for people who have it stuck in their head that it'll happen anyway.

But I don't think Foo's will be at T next year, not at all.

I don't think T will happen. They aren't going to do R&L, T, Glasto and Wembley Shows. Glasto is the non payout, Wembley will fly anyway, I think Murrayfield will be rescheduled when a better plan is I'm place and they'll take less money to to R&L. It's not how it normally happens but if they can book Green Day when at Emirates as well who would have had to take a less headline R&L fee then Foo's can easily be done.

At the moment I'd opt for FATM, Calvin Harris, Blur and Coldplay. If they do any earlier fests then Muse could be an option.

    • Rotten communication. Actually god awful. Posting sporadically on IG, closing Mordor only to reopen and cause some serious carnage. Left the festival as it got too much for my 16year old daughter. She was devastated about Alex G and Mac…but TV girl could have saved it. Took us until 1220 and already home to find out they might/are playing. Pish.    and on another note, this festival has lost its bastard soul. Gone are the wee tents with local sellers selling vinyl, t shirts etc, now you can buy a 50 f**king eur official T-shirt. The ar*e is truely out of this event now. I went to Porto for the first time last year and it was fab. I love Barcelona and the line up is always stacked, but this festival is a corporate loss take. Hopefully a better day tomorrow.
    • f**king horrendous and seems they couldn’t run an egg and spoon race.  zero info and the crush waiting to get in to see Massive Attack was potentially disasterous. Zero info, no stewards at all and was told that the whole evening was cancelled, when we got to the exit. Because it rained. First time attendee and i’ve got onsay, i’m far from impressed. Scalping bastard taxis asking €37 plus for an €11 fare too. Wonderdul.
    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
    • Hey guys, is there a group going for any solo y not goers this year?? I couldn’t miss out once I saw the acts but it’s just me and would be great to meet some others:))
    • After deciding to abandon the festival, here's a few of my thoughts (mostly negative tbf).    On the positive side - was it just me or were there a few more urinals than last year? Seemed to help the queues at the loos a bit from what i saw. Plus they had at least had some foresight and had a few more covered areas in the VIP areas.    Now on the negatives.  The weather was admittedly pretty crap but it wasn't apocalyptic. How the actual f**k are bits of the main stage falling off in those conditions?  Then the communication was awful, there's a load of people who left the site because they were told by security guards/other personnel that there would be no more acts on the main stage this evening.  You have an app Primavera, use it! Yes, there's a shitload going on I'm sure but communication with the festivalgoers should be one of the top priorities. You failed.    And I'm not usually somebody who buys into the whole "oh this is hugely unsafe and it's lucky people weren't hurt" narrative, but all the above led to movements of people that were genuinely unsafe.  Evacuating Mordor entirely (again... Why???) and then having a horde of people trying to get in because they thought they were going to Massive Attack was insane.  And given a lot of people basically abandoned ship around 10.30pm the crush at both the exit to the festival and the entrance to the Metro was pretty dangerous.   Conditions happen, most people will get that....but the contingencies have to be better.
