Pretty happy with the announcement tbh. Obviously the anticipation was pretty muted since Frank Carter's leak, but Jack Garrat and The Wombats are nice additions. Shaping up so far with:

Must See: Foals, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Biffy Clyro, CHVRCHES, Die Antwoord, Jauz, The 1975

Will See If No Clashes: Twenty One Pilots, Citizen, Jack U, Lower Than Atlantis, Oliver Heldens, Duke Dumont, Eagles of Death Metal, Imagine Dragons, Jack Garrat. My Nu Leng, Netsky, Sigma, Skindred, Slaves, Two Door Cinema Club, Basement, Cage The Elephant, The Vaccines, The Wombats

I'm still confused by the lack of tame impala and Radiohead who are both on the eu circuit at that time.

Tame Impala aren't. Their last European shows are in July and they did all the late August festivals last year. Seems like R+L slept on them last year.

And you're not serious about Radiohead are you?

Did you like the new Cage the Elephant album? I thought it was a ten ton turd. Kinda lost all of the stuff I liked about them.

Edit: you'd like Tuff Love, I think. They supported Ride at a bunch of shows.

Yeah it was good(ish), their weakest so far but not a bad record. Just seemed a bit too straight-ahead indie-rock that lacked their usual character.

Thanks for the tip, I didn't catch any of the support on Ride's tours but I'll check these out.

The Biffy day is pretty good for me with state champs, fob, the wombats, modern baseball, the king blues, the vaccines and biffy all must sees depending on clashes. The other 2 days don't do anything for me at all though but hopefully that changes with more of the pit announcements.

The lack of Radiohead shouldn't be confusing at all.

This year's line up is so wierd, can't tell where anyone is placing, Twenty One Pilots headlining the NME, is that a joke?

That'll surely be Jack Ü.

eFests has The 1975 listed as NME headliners so looks like The Vaccines below Biffy/FOB which is kinda funny.

I'm not sure why Jack Garatt is so far up? Is he bigger than say The Wombats or Slaves? This is so weird

Relax. I doubt it, looks more like Jack U or Chvrches. As for your second question, he probably will be by the time Summer gets here.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
