I thought Radiohead went down badly at Leeds in 09, and then they changed the setlist for Reading because of it?

I thought they were awesome at leeds in 2009, they didn't go down badly from where I stood.

Easily in my top 3 performances from radiohead ive seen live.

i was stood in front of the sound desk and the the crowd thinned out significantly throughout the set. definitely wasn't a festival friendly setlist, although i loved every minute of it (the one friend who decided to come see them with me, however, was less enthused). not sure whether it was changed for Reading because of that though - i was always under the impression that the different setlists was always the plan. definitely played the closest you could get these days to a 'greatest hits' set at Reading, mind. can't say that i wasn't a little jealous that Leeds didn't get the same

Just running through my mind

Florence & The Machine

Last Shadow Puppets

Muse

The 1975

Foals

Chase & Status

trying to think of top twos

Chase and status would definitely headline if they played, especially with a 4th album out by then. They're bigger than foals if anything.

Do you think reading book bands based on whether they are the best suited band to the festival?

Reading is a business and Radiohead are one of the few bands out there at the moment who could 99% guarantee their day tickets selling out. It's the reason Metallica are booked again. You can measure it on album sales etc but it all comes down to shifting 280,000 odd tickets between two sites over 3 days of acts.

Didn't bother this year though, was deserted for all but Metallica day. Sold out my arse.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
