I was hoping it would be Hot Chip, didn't realise they were playing elsewhere :(

Don't think Chuckle Brothers are listed anywhere on the lineup what if it's just them  :sarcastic:

Still confused about the Muse thing. They've literally got nothing else booked, even doing a Radio 1 live lounge thing on Friday. Not a fan of their new stuff but it would have been an excellent booking.

I reckon it's likely to be someone that's doing Lollapalooza on the Sunday and that isn't playing anywhere else on Saturday (and that fits with the Bestival booking policy). Which by my reckoning leaves us with RTJ and Clean Bandit.

Or Muse, and there's been lots of deliberate misinformation being bandied about.

as incredible as RTJ would be, they don't strike me as an act Bestival would book as a 'very special guest' (even if this very special guest seemingly isn't their first option so they can't be too picky)

that said, please let it be RTJ and not Rudimental/Clean Bandit/something awful

hm well at least that rules out Rudimental and the like

a big pop act would be just great for me, but then of course it could end up being somebody like Jamie T, who would be alright, but just not very exciting

edit: wait, where does it say 'very special GUEST' instead of 'guestS'? because it still says 'guests' on the lineup page

i hope that Muse seemingly pulling out doesn't mean they've had to settle with somebody significantly weaker/smaller due to having far less time to sort it out - going from having an act bigger than any of the headliners to somebody like Clean Bandit would be rather shite. tbh i don't even mind if it's somebody not that huge - just not somebody achingly predictable/boring

    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
