Yep, looking similar but after Scalping ... what? To my untrained eye it's a bit bare.

Yep, for me, at least, it's not the strongest night, though I've only done my 'first sweep'.

Options atm include Ben UFO on Genosys, then maybe Bashkka (Child 1 is excited for the latter), or even up to Bimble in Park for the Stantons!

Need to do more work on my nights, yet.

Ben

Yeah definitely a DJ set, maybe a couple of his own chucked in? Going to be very very good

Gutted it clashes with Floating Points/Daphni but did see those both (well, Caribou) last year.
What’s realistic time, if watching AM or Hot Chip, to gain access to IICON?

Edit: going off your mega busy comments then is it a case of being down there before end of AM, etc?

If you leave AM just before the end, you'll be at IICON before midnight. Add another 10-15mins if you're going there from Woodsies, but leave a wee bit earlier or you'll hit all the chucking out times for Pointy, Other and West Holts (all 2345h!)

Nice one. Will factor this into my dilemmas!

Yep, wouldn't be surprised if the field gets closed off due to people expecting PHM. Think I'm going to avoid it, for that reason

Man! Well Maybe stick with the original plan and stay the other side. I quite fancy trying to get up to Phil Hartnoll anyway.

Hopefully this will keep the queue for the Temple a bit more manageable at 1am ish

Yep it’s going to be crazy busy.

I’m tempted, but with Hot Chip, Carl Cox and Chems also on offer I’ll probably go for one of them.

Benefit of seeing HC is I’ll be close to San Remo for HAAI afterwards.

Imagine this

Finding the strength to stay away from a set like that kinda hard.

It is a thing of beauty.

I just can't be dealing with the inevitable crowds for that one. I'm glad FT is getting some long overdue global recognition, I just wish it wasn't primarily on the back of Fred & Skrillex. You just know they'll be piling over from the Other Stage expecting the trio to be on. It'll be like the large crowd that congregated at Arcadia in 2013 expecting daft Punk to show

Although Chems > Flo Po x Daphni > Sherelle is also one hell of a run.

Ahhh, an embarrassment of riches! Crazy when you think about it.

Well-established popular electronic band, one of the most prominent and influential DJs of the past three decades and one of the top three electronic duos of all time. Then the potential to walk a few yards to catch one of the most prolific DJ/producers of the past two or three years.

All that, whilst arguably the most talked about artist in dance music from the last twelve months is playing over on the Other Stage. And that's without even considering Four Tet as an option. Or whoever's on Arcadia.

Actually, the Friday night generally is impossibly stacked for electronic music. Ridiculous.

Glastonbury, man.

Don't complain about Dettman's times...  my number one act is Pretty Girl and she's on at midday, ughhh.  At least she has the b2b with Salute and a show in London the week before.

I think you're underestimating my sense of entitlement!

Getting there at the start will be completely fine, but rammed by the end. There's a fair bit of electronic competition

You'd like to think given Four Tet's starting time word that its not them will filter through which should help

Nah, they'll pile in with utter certainty that he's bringing them on for the last 45 mins. Or something. The rumours will be spectacular! 😂

Could be a nice uplifting  breaks/housey/trancey thing perfect for Sunday night finale

I really wanted to see these guys, but I just don't think it's gonna work for me. I'll almost certainly be in the psytrance Nirvana in the Glade Dome when they're on. Glastonbury, eh?!

    • Absolutely love her record, System. Definitely an album that rewards a bit of commitment.   She's right on my must-see list. Hoping she's in the Walled Garden, as I think her sound might be a bit muddy if she's early-ish in Far Out.   Ben
    • Same here, I kept trying to go on A View From My Seat to see if each block was worth it. So vague!
    • Ok, I’ve had time to process the experience now, so here is my review.   The good Barcelona - what a beautiful place! What lovely people! The city was like another headliner. Stayed in El Poblenou, and the bars, cafes and restaurants were perfect. Avalanches - Absolutely spectacular, euphoric set. Fantastic stage. Possibly enhanced by substances that I timed right, for a change. Added bonus that I don’t really remember the queue. The Cure - I’ve been a fan for 34 years, and never got round to seeing them, so this was a dream come true. The XX - The sound was exceptional. The lights and setlist perfect, giving each member their moment. Was really loud where I was standing (between the front and the sound desk), but i didn’t notice any chatters - even during the quieter moments. Also loved Men I Trust, .bd. , Big Thief, NewDad and Gorillaz. The food within Parc Del Fòrum was also a lot better than I was expecting.   The bad People talking non-stop throughout some of the sets, and shouting to be heard over the music. I had to move 3 times during Wet Leg just to be able to hear the band over the crowd. It’s probably an age thing, but I just don’t understand it. You’ve paid how much to watch these acts, and now you’re standing with your back to the stage, missing the music and ruining the experience for everyone else? Odd behaviour.   The weather apocalypse on Thursday. I genuinely thought I would be able to tough it out. I couldn’t. Left after Geese. The lack of communication from Primavera didn’t help.   Whilst it was lovely to be by the sea, and the sunsets were very pretty, the site is a bit…concrete-y, isn’t it? I kind of longed for some grass and trees. Often found ourselves standing on the steps by the Adidas yard by some bamboo. This was probably a subconscious need for some nature. The fact that some of the nature included cockroaches did not negatively affect the experience.   My daughter, for running away when she saw the drug dogs in the queue on Thursday, meaning that I lost her for the whole evening. She hid her stash under a bench, and it miraculously survived the storms.   Also, can someone explain the point in having a wristband, when you still have to show your ticket every time you enter and leave the site?   Finally, I would like to nominate myself as one of the bad things about this year’s Primabera. I should have done Primavera a lot better. It was my first one, so I’m still learning, but I think I left too early on the Thursday. Left after the Cure on Friday, so I would be full of energy on Saturday, and then barely made it to the end of Gorillaz anyway, meaning I missed Overmono, Skrillex, Skullcrusher, Kneecap, and a few more I would have liked to see.   All in all Amazing lineup. Decent food options. Cupra and Cupra Pulse stages were very impressive. Weather was perfect for 3 out of the 4 days i attended.   It was always likely to be a ‘one and done’ for me, but we had a blast, even if I am starting to get too old for all this.
    • That Wednesday Razzmatazz slot is one of the best/prime slots!
    • If they fancy chucking something together last knockings, i'm up for it! 😄 Got to get a cat sitter, but i'm 95% there
