To all those who know I do a bit of DJ'ing myself

just published a mix that i'm really proud of and i'd appreciate a listen and possibly some feedback... there is also a download link!

Tia x

Listening now.

I've no idea how involved it would be, since I don't know how much they're interwoven, but is it possible to give a timestamped indication of where each track starts?  Just noticed you said "Message me for full tracklist".  Is that because you don't want to get flagged for copyright by listing them all on Soundcloud?

Little bit of everything, I can try my best but it'l take time since I did play a fair few tracks

rough tracklist is

Floating - Andrea /  Clockwerks - Myles Serge / Trails - Junes /  Shoot The Bar - 100Hz / Four Sticks -
Dan Andrei / Extraction Force - DJ Deep & Roman Poncet [Adventice] /  Behind The Sun - O [Phase] / Optimal Signals - Steven Tang / Rush - Nikita Zabelin / Lattice (Edit) - Marcel Dettmann / Untitled - Truncate / Shown Up - Ejeca / Sub tropic - Endian / Power Clean - 2000 and One / District Two - Charles Fenckler / Peace Offering - A Made Up Sound / Phonotis - Hiver / Fresh Jive - Bjarki / BB - Kornel Kovacs

Hope that's easy to follow - timecodes are a little tricky

When I started, I got a tip...

Find a tune with a distinctive beat. It doesn't need to be a good one. Start mixing that into every other tune. It will help you hear what you are looking for. Touch the record as little as possible, use the pitch.

Some of the funniest times Ive had were when I got to a house party, couldnt mix and it sounded like a horse falling down the stairs.

haha clanging about

thanks for the tip - yeah i've got a friend who swears by the pitch

Going to see Jonas Rathsman tomorrow at XOYO. Anyone seen him before?

As am I!  Yeah been a fan for years.  Saw him at Bloc in Hackney last year and he was very good.  Got up behind the decks with him and chatted while Theo Kottis played his set, turns out he's the nicest bloke.  Music should be very good tomorrow night.

From Michael and Emily speaking to the Guardian

'Michael: Wasn’t it lovely! And the Wood was your idea. We’ve got lots of new stuff for this year. The big thing is Cineramageddon, which is an idea that Joe Rush and Julien Temple have had. It will be west of the Park, in an effort to move people away from the south-east corner late-night areas, to balance the crowd. It’s going to have all these amazing vintage American cars parked there, facing a huge outdoor cinema screen. And there will be all sorts of 1950s American-y stuff around. Also, we’re expanding the Temple in the Common – which is the big venue built out of old lock gates. That’s incredibly popular and it holds its sound in really well, so we’re making that bigger for 2017.'

Bigger Temple...yikes

I can't see it losing the sound or atmosphere unless they make it huge.

Well yeah. Thinking logically it can only go so big due to space restrictions, but of course I was thinking of some humongous soulless behemoth because why not (or why even mention it if not, I guess).

I already have the fizz thinking about Sunday evening in The Temple, the last two years its been an incredible finish. With the bigger area it would be class if they brought in someone special to finish it,  Villalobos for example

I feel like it would be the best thing ever if Villalobos closed it. The only venue in Glastonbury that I think would suit him best... plus he loved the mad late sets (I wish their curfew went on longer)

Do you think it is curfew, or just a decision that the festival kind of ends at 0500h on the Monday?

The Friday and Saturday SEC sets end at 0600h, and I can't see why a 'noise' issue would force them to end an hour earlier on Monday...

I stayed at Genosys last year for Seth and then Felix Dickinson because the queues for Ben and Job had been big earlier and I hadn't wanted not to be dancing, and then I was still having a lot of fun when Felix came on and he was excellent. But I did feel properly sad when 5am came. I can remember being unable not to look at my watch quite a bit after 4am, my eyes drawn there by the anguish of knowing it was almost over :(

So, hoping for at least one huge night at the Temple this year.

My ideal I think would be:

1x Spider then somewhere in Shangri La (Seth and Martinez at Love Bullets was incredible last year

1 x Temple

1x Genosys

That would do it!

I went in straight after the paint fight just at Midland and Palms were starting,  just joined the queue as that paint fight was on then walked in easy

Once you go into the temple do you need to leave if you need the toilet? I never bother going in as the que looks too long and not worth staying if no bogs. If they make it bigger but generally better i.e once you're in youre in for good with bogs & a bar i could be down with that.

didnt bother with sunday temple as knew itd be rammed. Went to charlotte church no regrets!!

I didn't need the toilet whilst I was on,  but one of my mates went out under the dj booth and the security were letting people walk to the toilets by the rum shack and come back in the same way

Dekmantel have teased a few names for their main fest in 2017.

I watched the video and didn't notice any of this but obviously some great names, although hopefully the full line up will have a few more people who haven't played before.

Larry Heard on Genosys please???? And then pretty much all the others too.

Keep dreaming on larry  £££$$$$

he only plays specialist world class electronic music festivals like dimensions dekmantel and movement

my guess is itd be about a 75% pay cut for him to play in the SE corner. The only even remote shout would be sonic but still, no.

I've never had a problem leaving and getting straight back in to any venue in the SE corner that has a queuing system. And I wee a lot. It's only the free for all nano venues in Shangri La that you can forget about getting back into.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
