Got nothing at all, i had a feeling it would be sold out in well under the hour. more dissapointed for my daughters friends, they have been trying now for three years to go to there first Glastonbury with no sucess, difficult to explain to them why they just cant get tickets. Its the system, but i cant think of any other way to sell the tickets, Its far to hyped up by BBC coverage to my mind, which must effect ticket sales, cut BBC coverage by at least half, ease back on the big headliners. Bring Glastonbury back to earth.... Its lost its way over the last decade

See appear to have sorted out their act a bit. The pragmatic side of me says 1 million people buying 130000 tickets will always leave some gutted. The other side of me is well pissed off!

They'd be better off just doing a lottery of registrations (confirm you want to go this year etc) and emailing you the results. It'd save people wasting an hour seeing nothing but a blank server error screen, with an occasional 'queue' page chucked in (which promptly returns to server error after 20s) to give you false hope of course.

Not sure if this might have hindered peoples chances, but I noticed on Safari, in the midst of refreshing, I somehow ended up with this as the address:

All refreshing that page does is keep you on the queuing page forever, in fact it's still there now- so I wasted a good chunk of time refreshing a page that would never have gotten me through to the ticket buying page.

I don't understand the randomness of the system. I got tickets, easily too. Was on a group FB chat and I was instantly on the holding page, none of my other friends even got that page up. How does the system decide that? I had two tabs open and when one opened the reg page, they other did too.

I think the system worked better this year, but I had a good experience.

I hope everyone who didn't get tickets has joy in the re-sale!

I am absolutely convinced it is easier to buy from the North. I had not a peep down here in the south east, the same for all the other locals I know. For the last few years it is a friend in the North who has sorted me, and I thought last year there were loads more northern accents than normal.

Even living 28 miles from Worthy Farm doesnt help, just got BLANK SCREEN....Sunday ticket is only hope now, and there even harder to get.

Our group was spread all over the country. People in the north didn't get passed the holding page. Two different people down south got to input details and click payment but then it crashed with "page unavailable". Pretty sure this means we didn't get tickets, anyone know if that's the case?

I'm absolutely gutted but I don't think there's any malice or unfair weighting in the system it's just luck of the drawer. It's sucks but there you go.

Glastonbury NEED to reconsider their agreement with the BBC, it's getting beyond a joke. There's too much coverage and not enough tickets for all the people that see it and fancy giving it a go.

Seetickets need to reserve tickets for at least 5 minutes once you're through to the reg/postcode page.

There needs to be a maximum of 4 tickets instead of 6.

They're my opinions anyway.

ugh. went on facebook and several friends have got tickets for their first glastonbury. not at all begrudging of newbies, but these are people that I tried to drag to glastonbury with me 5+ years ago and who showed no interest whatsoever. Just torturing myself.

Best atmosphere I can remember (in my past 10 Glastonburys) is 2008, when noone wanted to go 'because Jay Z was headlining' and because 2007 had such hellish weather. Only the really keen people went, and it didn't sell out til the week before. The atmosphere was amazing, so friendly. Since then it's just got more and more full of people who just go because it's the place to be seen and because it's all over the BBC.

I think that one year they should have NO big headliners, it would still sell out but it would be full of people who really really wanted to go because it's such an amazing place, not just so they could tweet their mates about it.

Yes, I cannot help think you are right. I have been going since the mud of 1997, the hellish weather of 1998, didn't stop raining for more than about five minutes all weekend, and the ones you mention above, but I missed out this year. Did not even make it to the booking page. A friend of mine did, but got kicked out after entering card details. I am happy for those who got tix, especially those who have never been before, and I haven't given up yet..... resales and the possibility of working etc, but still gutted not to have secured a ticket today.

It won't get me anywhere but I am going to write to Glasto ticket office and see and put it to them that tickets should be reserved for at least 5 minutes after you have successfully entered your reg details ie: whilst you are on the payment page.

If enough people pressure them I am sure they can implement it although I doubt they will be bothered. They seem happy enough with thigs as they are currently.

Well, for the first time in 10 years I didn't get myself a ticket, couldn't get past the holding page, across several devices and network connections. Then "Sold Out" flashed up on them all. Balls. Then a message poped up on my iphone from my mate, he'd got me a ticket! Over the moon!

I somewhat agree with this. I'm from the north east, and from a shitty dell computer with windwos 7 on a chemical site in Hartlepool I managed to get 4 batches of tickets this morning with ease. My mates in Middlesbrough managed to get 30 tickets between them aswel. Strange.

I hate that idea. It excludes anyone who can't drive, it excludes people who can't afford to travel that far/stay in a hotel etc and it favours anyone local enough who can see the queue from their doorstep and know when to join in.

There are more people that want tickets than there are tickets available. You can change the ticket system any way you like but people will always be left empty handed. The only thing I would suggest is making the sales slower to favour people who are more determined and persistent, but everyone moaned when that used to be the case. Could also split it into, say, 15 sales of 10,000 a time, for the same reason.

There's a finite amount of tickets though and no way everyone can be happy. That said, don't give up, I got 3 in May last year!

I didn't get any this year, got to payment and it had page not found, I knew then that it wasn't happening, I think they must have been changing the page to say sold out and then of course that page started showing through! Anyhow, as a group we are gutted as none of us are going which is much better than some getting and some not! We go again in April and if we are unsuccessful then it's not meant to be! Like others have said its not the bands I will miss but the other things, Wednesday and Thursday for instance and the crack amongs the group! But then we can go to a field anywhere in the UK and do that! The journey to glastonbury 2015 has just begun and hit a snag from the off but hopefully come June we'll be pulling on the site!

Agree with most of this, but especially the bit about reserving tickets for a few minutes once you're in the detail entry part of the process. To time out after entering your card details is just a joke!

I got coach tickets Thursday, easy got on in 3 mins. Today trying for a dude on here. Got nowhere, frustrating as hell at the time. Luckily he got sorted himself. But just proves it's down to luck. Same system going today as I had Thurs. I know there was a lot less demand Thurs, but still.

Or even if they did them spotted around the UK... Somerset/London/Manchester/Birmingham/Glasgow/Cardiff/Etc?

Then they'd all be a more reasonable distance for people?

I just feel there should be a way of making that bit easier and less stressful for people who want to go more.

You would get less "look at me on Instagram I'm at Glastonbury doing laughing gas and getting pissed in my tent" people.

Touts. Lots and lots of touts.

Not everybody lives in a huge city either, so there's still the element of travel. What you're suggesting is almost what they used to do when they sold them in HMV stores around the country, but unfortunately the demand has changed so much since then.

There's absolutely no guarantee that it would change the demographic either.
