downloading the bbc coverage

someone linked to a website last year where we could download all the bbc gigs from iplayer. Can anyone remember what it was? Then I think someone else made all the sets available in mp3 form.

Or did I imagine it all??

Last year a load of the mp3s ended up on a live bootleggig website, can't remember the name of it though

Have a look for get_iplayer. I use it on Linux but I understand that it works OK on Windows too. Pretty easy to use and you can get the full TV coverage. T's&C's and all that.

There's also loads on Youtube. Get a Youtube to MP3 convertor (there's a few knocking about, I use http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-YouTube-to-MP3-Converter.htm) and fill your boots

This is brilliant advice. I'm using it now in fact. 110 Glastonbury clips on there ready for download at the minute.

Try get hold of VSO downloader, that tends to work

Not with iplayer unfortunately. Before reading this thread I'd tried to do that very thing with the updated VSO using firefox running windows, it stil has a massive BBC shaped blind spot.

Any known downsides to that there get-iplayer thing?

I've just downloaded Kasabian, Royal Blood, Drenge, Jack White and Kaiser Chiefs using VSO, aha. Version 3.1.2.5 works for me.

I should have added the footnote that I'm generally useless at using most media programs unless they're very very obvious about how to do things. It doesn't help that by the time I come to use them I tend to be on the right side of pissed.

Just install get_iplayer, run the web PVR once installed, search for glastonbury under the 'episode' option of search and then start downloading to your hearts content.

On mac you could hook up an external monitor and then record the screen while playing a performance. Unsure if that records the sound though

Looks like they have started to add them now. There are about 10 soundboard recordings available now.

get_iplayer seems to work for me, but not for everything... For example, I want to grab Crystal Fighters' set from http://www.bbc.co.uk/events/errnc8/acts/aqr2fx#p021gb4j but this isn't technically on iPlayer, so it doesn't come up in the search results. Any ideas?

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? A search for 'glastonbury' on the iPlayer page brings up 96 hits, but using both get_iplayer and the Web PVR Manager the same search only finds 28 results. Any pointers gratefully received.

Do you not just put into the browser bbc.co.uk.glastonbury and hit enter, copy and paste it into your browser and hit enter or better still just click this. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/b007r6vx
