  1. I caught Kruder & Dorfmeister this year at Body&Soul Festival when they headlined Friday night, a great act from Austria who have a similar buzz to Thievery Corporation and Boards of Canada.
  2. My review I hope you like it. https://niallmcquaid.wordpress.com/2019/09/05/electric-picnic-2019-festival-review/
  3. My review for 2019 enjoy folks https://niallmcquaid.wordpress.com/2019/08/08/all-together-now-2019-festival-review/
  4. I think most people said they didn't have gas and security looked no further, so maybe just say you don't have any.
  5. Hi Ibits I was at ATN last year and reviewed it was working during the weekend so there is not that much music reviewed in it, but it should give a jist of what the festival is about. It looks like there is going to be some new additions added this Monday coming and an unconfirmed report from a friend who was having pints in Galway city on Friday night, he was in the company of Paul Hartnoll and his sound engineer, Orbital who played the Big Top the following night at Galway Arts Festival. Hartnoll says he is Waterford bound and that Orbital are doing a live set at All Together Now apparently on the main stage, Friday night. One hell of way to get the party started, bring it on.
  6. Fuck sake dudes give a reply, I don't post for the good of my health.

  8. Please join my Facebook campaign to bring Aphex Twin to Electric Picnic. https://www.facebook.com/groups/306301782765054/
  9. Worrying news for festivals in Ireland from August onward. https://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/over-200-irish-festivals-at-risk-due-to-rocketing-insurance-costs-and-medical-cover-922761.html
  10. Aphex is away too big for the Glade he got a higher billing than Jon Hopkins for Coachella and Jon Hopkins headlined the Park stage on Saturday 2015 and Four Tet the year before. If anything he should be the Saturday Park headliner.
  11. Well for the big electronic act I propose Aphex Twin, playing the weekend before at Rock en Seine in Paris, he hasn't played Electric Picnic yet but has played two Forbidden Fruits and Oxegen as the last camping festival he played. Judging by his recent US shows he as some amazing new music and his lights, visuals and lasers are second to none. Be it main stage or the Electric Arena marquee.
  12. fatyeti24 totally agree, although I've never been to Glastonbury, its the same story with Electric Picnic in Ireland, I've had a facebook campaign going since he played Forbidden Fruit in Dublin 2011 to get the fecker to Electric Picnic, now his last gig is at Rock En Seine the weekend before the Picnic. If the rumours of his fees for Coachella and Mexico is anything to go by I think it was a million or something for each gig. I can't imagine the Picnic paying that, can you imagine Glasto paying that.
  13. This was the best stream of the lot and it wasn't even official.
  14. Well the National and the Fontaines DC have been announced and a big announcement is apparently happening at 10 AM tomorrow of about 30 acts, so will post the poster if it appears.
  15. So the lineup so far for this is The Cure, Major Lazer and Jorja Smith and a nice wee advertising campaign from Aphex Twin who seemingly is also playing and seems to be his first announcement for later summer dates after his announcements for April this year.
  16. Well news on the EP social media has stated that the launch announcement is to be on the 13th March this year, woo hoo bring it on.
  17. I see the same happening with Electric Picnic in Ireland these days, tickets sell out on the day of the announcement or before the actual announcement in the middle of March, perhaps not as rapid as Glastonbury but its getting increasingly harder to get them. There was hardly any resales nearer the Picnic this year and tickets were going for up to 400 Euro each. Thankfully I was working as an advanced volunteer the week before, but about 40 weekend volunteers disappeared as soon as they were accredited and I heard the same with some of the security at the festival too. So it probably means the bond price will be increased to insure this doesn't happen with weekend crew.
  18. It seems POD's All Together Now festival in Ireland (same weekend as Bestival) is also having money problems, with artists and musicians complaining of not being paid although ATN are selling early birds for the 2019 festival. It would be a pity if Bestival kicked the dust as I've always wanted to try this one, it used to happen the weekend after Electric Picnic and looked to have a very similar vibe seeing it also started in 2004.
  19. So did no one else go to this or what, would like to see other folks reviews of it.
  20. My review of Electric Picnic, I hope you like it. if you just want to read about the music scroll down to Friday 31st. https://niallmcquaid.wordpress.com/2018/09/07/electric-picnic-2018-festival-review/
  21. Nile Rodgers and Chic added to the lineup, quite a late addition to the sub headliners for the main stage.
