Le Grand Bouffe in West Holts. £8 but very rich and filling. Bacon Roll and tea for £3.50 in mornings from Welsh Oggie stall by the Other Stage.

The Yeo Valley yoghurts were once again £1 and came with a free sachet of granola. Perfect for breakfast!

Some overpriced awful stuff, still loads of great value and tastiness to be had though. Thai Smile (across from Pie Minister, which was only reason I was thinking of eating in that general area) was seriously good value. £6 for a huge plate, £7 if you wanted a starter with it. On Sunday, it was £7 for a starter and self service, which frankly meant I ate about 3 meals in one! I'd love some of their yellow curry now!

It was still varied in my opinion. There were decent options if you hunted round a bit and went of the beaten track.

never bought a pint all weekend .

agree prices were steep ,probably due to increased pitch prices i`d imagine.

mud put me off walking any distance to save a quid or two.

The fish and chips next to the main stage were horrible. Cardboard boxes of pre cooked chips poured into the metal trays to be reheated and served.

Definite price hike this year, but seems away from the mains is better value (what a surprise!), with Williams Green, West Holts, and Green Fields being best.

My fave was probably Ghandi's Flip-Flop in West Holts who had very generous portions and lovely staff serving it! (not saying *the staff* had very generous portions... they were lovely in other ways.... just to clear that up...)

Found a fantastic bit of grub between the other stage and Leftfield Maybe more towards Williams Green. Got an egg, two sausages and two slices of bacon in a roll with either a tea or coffee for a fiver!

The only really poor value food we had all weekend was the Crayfish Gumbo at Williams Green. Queued for 45 minutes - kept being told it was coming soon - to be presented with a small bowl of rice, a few bits of smoked sausage and 3 tiny bits of crayfish for £8.

I didn't mind paying for the yummy dosa at Williams Green, Buddah Bowls with halloumi and a burrito from somewhere I can't remember. £8 for a burrito seemed expensive to be fair but it was really filling and tasty.

I was so looking forward to the veggie haggis from the Farmers Market again this year but we were disappointed that the portions were smaller.

I had really wanted a Pieminister but ran out of time and room.

The Roaming Rotisserie chicken and potatoes in WIilliams Green was £7.50 but well worth the price as it was so nice.

My biggest objection was the price hikes from Thursday to Sunday particularly around William's Green where most traders seemed to put prices up by roughly £1 per dish.

Worst offender was the Cream Tease bus where I paid £3.50 for a scone on Thursday but they hiked the price to £4 on Sunday and if you wanted a coffee instead of tea they charged an extra £1 even though the coffee was only 50p more if you bought it separately. The worst thing is the queues for everything was fucking ridiculous, so even though it pissed me off hugely I paid it. Would never go there again though.

Think a lot of the traders were just taking advantage of the fact that people weren't wanting to walk around too much in the mud to find food.

Was there any decent food in the Other Stage/John Peel area? I found great food over by West Holts and Park, but the north/West sides of the site were pretty stagnant.

Baba G's £10 combo was alright value but the chips and bhaji were nothing special (wrap was good, but at £7.50 was overpriced on its own). Piggie Smalls make decent hot dogs (and their prices weren't any different from their usual at big events) but a hot dog can only be so good...

As ever, it depends where you buy.

I bought what was a small tray of nachos for £8.50. I also bought what was a massive plate of nachos for £6.

Special mention to the Jamaican food in the middle of the main markets (with the ravey-tent next door), which was doing gorgeous jerk chicken with rice and peas for a fiver!

No Bones Jones, on the road between Williams Green and West Holt's did a great veggi combo platter for £7 - biggest, and probably best, main meal of the weekend.

I got a bacon roll and a cuppa for £5 at the Japanese stall near the Glade on Fri. It was excellent 3 pieces of bacon and a huge grilled brioche bun. Hangover sorted. Other than that, ate in Green Fields or a West Holts. Goan Fish curry - mackerel - was restaurant quality, huge portion for £7.50. You could get a free veggie meal in the Hare Krishna tent if you were running low on funds. Not many people seem to know that.

I'm still having very good memories of a £7 Ostritch Burger I had with Brie and Caramalized onions. It tasted great and I would expect the above burger to be £7 where I live so I'm okay with that.

The Crocodile Burger I had on the other hand....

Traders have to pay alot for some of the pitches - and with the weather they may have put prices up to make up the profits?? The more commercial type vans have to pay more I think. Was chatting to one small trader on weds ( bloom berry stand on Williams green) it was their first Glastonbury- they weren't sure what to expect over the weekend.

At Meat and Greet in Pennards I paid £5 for a breakfast roll containing one piece of bacon and half a sausage!

The real issue here is £4.50 for a pint. I swear that was £3.90 last year, I think that added £60 on my budget.

And the original post, I agree with. Generally all the food have gone up.

You look at it,Crap Burger, £8 and queue..........Is there a point when someone charges £x pounds for that and just like the cast of grange hill, you say 'no'

Still cheaper than the £9.50 & £2.70 Breakfast and Tea from the services that looked like middle england.........that i didn't buy.

Couldn't go wrong with the roaming rotisserie - 7 quid for half a roast chicken and seasoned potatoes. Cheaper and tastier than any nandos

I paid £7 for macaroni cheese and still maintain it was worth every penny. Absolutely delicious.

The food on site was incredible, but after thirteen hours sat by the Pyramid with no food on Sunday, nothing tasted quite as good as the A303 Burger King on the way home. I am full of shame.
