really?..that is disappointing...saw them in 2013...boring as fuck.

be much better getting chic on after lionel and keeping the mood upbeat.

well, this is what we're all assuming - it seems to add up considering they can only do the Sunday and the Sunday's Other headliner is seemingly Chemical Brothers (subbed by Jamie T). they may fit in elsewhere, but third on Pyramid seems the best bet

They did, although apparently the tent was only about 1/3 full for them.

I watched about half of their set, it was good, but I was freaking out at the 3D, so I had to go to Green Velvet and dance it off

So Noel is not subbing Blur now? I thought this was nailed on......

*dusts down The Stone Roses rumour*

Lionel followed by Alt-J followed by The Stone Roses followed by Muse followed by Taylor Swift followed by Noel Gallagher followed by Paul 'Moddy' Weller followed by The Who followed by AC/DC followed by The Dalai Lama.

Personally, I'd be a bit hasty with the presumption that Alt-J are on the Pyramid. I can certainly see the Chems on Saturday other, Alt-J subbed by Jamie T on the Sunday, with two performers yet to be announced for Sunday Pyramid.

Ok... I've been away for a couple of weeks..

People seem pretty convinced it's The Who now.....? Erm, why?

And I thought we'd put the Noel Gallagher and Taylor Swift rumours to bed long ago? I really can't keep up. Are we expecting an announcement soon?

yeah you may be right there - but their grouping with the other Pyramid acts on the lineup poster is pretty telling i think

has Alt J stock not fallen since 2013?...are they maybe not a JP headliner option?

no it's risen considerably. they're pretty huge right now - subbing the main stage at Reading/Leeds

The main evidence of Alt-J being on Pyramid is their position on the initial poster, below the headliners and with what we presume to be the other pyramid subs, above Lionel Richie - Florence and Pharrell. I agree that they'll be disappointing, and will kill the good mood after Lionel Richie. At least there's sure to be something more entertaining elsewhere.

The Sun leaked that it was The Who, but it made little sense as they had a gig in Paris that night. that gig in Paris has now been rescheduled/cancelled, which backs up their story, plus Neil has reason to believe the story is true

Noel was only brought up again as The Sun mentioned him (along with Paul Weller) although both are looking unlikely, so that part of the story was probably just guessing on their part

Is ur Sunday info strong? (I know u can never be 100%)

It's come from someone who has a 100% success rate with me - tho not for a huge number of items. So he either makes very good guesses, or he has a real source of info.

I believe he's right, but I only get to find out for sure when things get announced.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
