Two weeks for me, all of my fun things seem to fall in the space of a fortnight this summer!

I need the Tuesday off for the long drive down to the B&B in Yeovil and any chance of getting some sleep. Then off to London on the Monday after Glasto to stay with a mate and see Monty Python on the Tuesday, then drive back to Newcastle on the Wednesday. Curl up in a ball and cry on Thursday, then off to the Lake District Fri-Sun for a friend's hen do. Monday = as Thursday. Back to work on Tuesday - my colleagues have been warned!

Off Weds to the following Weds. There is no way I can handle work on the Tuesday after the festival. It's so nice waking up at about 11am having had a great sleep in a nice bed then just pottering about and washing everything etc.

Nowhere near enough.

I usually take two weeks (which used to mean 18 days if you worked it out right).

This year I finish at 21:00 on Saturday 21st June and am back at 05:30 on Thursday 3rd July (but hoping that will change to 09:00).

I have a gig (Derren Brown, think I wish it was Monty Python) on the Tuesday afterwards.

Oh, and I'm "volunteering". So not really "on leave" at all really.

So that's 11 days off, which has cost me 5 days annual leave (the others already being rostered as off days).

If I could have taken Saturday 21st June off it would have been 14 for 6. Either way I'm going to be knackered, I'm used to having a week off to recover.

Off from Tuesday 24th (last minute trip to the shops for any little bits) and back to work on Thursday 5th July.

Previous years I went back to work on the Tuesday and was ok but last year I was a total wreck until the following Monday so booked off as much time after to recover as I could!
