Thursday on main stages.

you cant criticise the festival on the thursday really. 95% of people are on site and are ready to be entertained but there is only so much they are allowed to do!

the small stages are used cos obviously they arent as loud as the larger tents / stages but this just means people gravitate to them as there is nothing else on..... there is very little the festival can do about it aside from petitioning to change the license

i doubt baggy mondays for example would be hugely popular if going up against the usual lineup on say the friday. not to say its not good!!

it is annoying when it rains on the thursday though cos if you really really want to see something in a tent half the capacity is usually taken up by people just wanting cover from the rain rather than watching whats on...

I was at the blues Thursday night last year for visionquest with Seth troxler great night, only problem was we kept slipping up because of it being on a hill. What was even funnier was about 1 Alcock every one ran to wow because they thought daft punk where playing one of there hundred secert gigs lol. Even better when I herd fat boy tricked every one getting Zoe ball and her mate to put on daft punk helmets.

I think they do something about how busy the dance village gets., just because with big DJ's on in the dance village it gets absolutely rammed. So many time I've been in a crush in the entrance then never been able to get near a tent

Last year we went to see Loyd Grossman's band but they were shite so ended up in a tent next to William's Green playing proper cheesy indie. Was really fun but no idea what it's called! Then there was some pretty dancey stuff in William's Green itself.

Agree with what people are saying about the rain - it does make it hard to get in anywhere. Dermot in the Rabbit Hole was too rammed :( And Baggy Mondays always looks like too much effort to get in.

It would have been mentioned in the licence if they was allowing music on the main stages from Thursday and since its not , about as much as the guy who posted in that facebook group about Daft Punk being nailed on.

Thursday is fine as it is, sure the popular/known stuff is packed out but if you have a bimble about the place, you will soon find some sort of tent doing something to your tastes I'm sure! (Bit harder to bimble in the rain mind :P)

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
