On Facebook in Glasto Chat (yes I know it is FB) there is a post from someone who alledgedly has inside knowledge saying that there will be music on the main stages on Thursday this year.

Anyone heard similar or is it utter tosh?

The main stages aren't even fully set up by Thursday from past experience and isn't the licence laws preventing this? Like only the small tents with smaller sound systems can get away with it. The will likely be a relatively large band 'christening' the festival at the Willems Green Tent or something on Thursday PM.

Remember they got a new licence earlier this year. That included more acoustic performances on the Wednesday. And remember we had the likes of Django Django, Alt-J and Dry the River playing on the Thursday last year.

Also yeah the will be some relatively big names playing but I don't think the main stages will be used.

It's a club night from The Social in london, has been in the Stonebridge bar in the park on the thursday playing indie anthems, usually rammed

Baggy Mondays is great fun but gets rammed, we had to queue to get in last year which was a bit grim in the rain but worth it.

It has a stage, serves stone-baked pizza, has a bar that sells Chai Tea + Brandy, it's near the spoken word stage. I loved it there Wednesday and Thursday night 2011

In both 2011&2013 ive tried to get into baggy mondays and havent been close to getting into the tent. How early do you think you need to get there to get in?

These days theres plenty of amplified sound on thursday, but not the 4 major stages as they've had a limit on the amp output.

I could maybe believe if they got permission to fire up the park, but I strongly doubt there'll be anything on the other 3
