You've yet to give an example of any issue which doesn't involve money, to a certain extent at least. I'm not sure you really understand what you're arguing yourself.

This has totally missed my point for about five pages now, so let me reiterate. Yes, things cost money. But most people don't want money. Most people want the things they need that happen to cost money to buy. The problem is that a lot of politics has become about owning, and keeping, money. People stashing piles of cash. THAT is when neither society nor capitalism work.

With most of the things described, money is just a middleman. When it comes down to it the thing we all have a really limited amount of is time. Which makes it even more ludicrous that people waste so much time in the pursuit of money.

soo... when you're lying in bed at night, or watching the sunset, or whatever, contemplating what the meaning of it all is, money is the answer, and that's enough?

In what is being described as a surprise move by the festival organisers, Nigel Farage was this morning unveiled as one of Glastonbury Festival’s headline acts.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that the UKIP leader will be performing on the Pyramid stage on Saturday night,” said festival organiser Emily Eavis. “We were originally trying get Prince, but I think we’ve gone one better. Nigel is going to put on one hell of a show, let me tell you!”

Music critic Alex Mack said “He’s a massive hit with all ages and is a real talking point now so he’s just ideal for Glastonbury. Sure he’s a bit edgy in places but name an act that isn’t! Apart from Elbow. And Kasabian. And Dolly Parton. Wait…I’ll think of someone edgy.”

A visibly-thrilled Farage held a press conference earlier today. “I have to confess I didn’t know what Glastonbury was until I was approached about performing there, but it all sounds like jolly good fun. I’m looking forward to drinking a pint, having a fag, and singing my collection of anti-immigration ballads to a corker of a mostly British crowd.”

Organisers originally intended to have Nick Clegg come along too with a slam-poetry set but he said he was “sick of co-headlining”. Morrissey is expected to fill the “slightly boring act you’ll see out of nostalgia for what they used to be” slot instead.

Nice try, but you're not taking yourself seriously enough. And you should have pointed out that if you don't like Nigel Farage there'll plenty of other things to see and do :D

I can't wait to see him drink a pint and smoke a cigarette! For me that's the most important thing I look for in a politician (someone who most reminds me of myself)- I'm willing to overlook the policies, bigotry and fascism, just so long as he keeps up the Dick Van Dyke act- I think that's where hitler went wrong.

    • There is possibly a weak link in the ticket buying system, no matter how clever the technical controls get. I just spent 20 minutes this morning hammering the ‘Buy Tickets’ button while the web page kept telling me there weren’t enough tickets remaining to meet my request. Eventually it changed its mind and let me buy two tickets. Most likely because of failed payments in the queue ahead of me. So - just like it did in the good old F5 days - pig-headed blind persistence can sometimes pay off.   BTW, the tickets were for the Whispering Bob Harris evening in the Albert Hall on 2nd December.
    • All I'm asking for is Rancid
    • MGK would probably end my interest in this festival completely.
    • The basement, deafheaven, Mannequin pussy clash is v annoying. Also not sure why pinkpantheress is in the tent, surely going to be ramos.
    • It's just this:   Search up which orgs are currently in Tufton St, funded by Koch Brothers, Robert Mercer, and Matthew Elliot.   It's moved on from "Vote Leave" and "Leave Means Leave" into the lobbyists against net zero. It's the same funding from the same people in the same place lobbying our media and politicians.
