Yesterday had one of the heaviest downpours I've seen in ages. Huge raindrops hurtling down. Once it stopped though it warmed up pretty quickly and all in all it wasn't too bad under foot. Currently walloping it down in Frome with today's forecast for Pilton similar to yesterday. If we get lucky with the hot spells between the cloud it might hold up O.K. At the moment Sunday looks like it'll be nice.

Currently sunny in Shepton Mallet but there's a big mass of dark cloud over the site. I might hold off going down for an hour or so.

I have say that up to now the site has held up remarkably well with most places still accessable with walking boots.

The BBC have been accurate all the way through....They're now saying rain/light rain until the afternoon....After that light cloud and sunshine all the way through till Monday

BBC have been WOEFUL until it's about 2-3 hours before. Yesterday they predicted rain and showers all day - what we got was a lot of sun and an absolute shit storm. They also predicted cloudy all day Wednesday and it was an absolute scorcher

Best site has been yr.no - they predicted sun yesterday with 14mm downpour about 4pm..

It's hit and miss though, isn't it. 2 miles away or could be 30 degrees or 1 mile the other way lobbing it down. West Holts was boiling about 20 minutes ago now breezy and grey. Who knows what it'll do. If this black cloud passes without incident then it's looking OK from here on in, isn't it.....
