normally take beer of some sort - carlsberg/fosters or something, then some cider - brothers toffee apple/ koppaberg pear.

and on the jaeger thing from the last page... that makes me think that i've had a lot of fun drinking it... used to have jaeger pints* for fun on nights out, several of them too.

*by jaeger pints, thats basically 5 jaeger bombs in one pint glass. not for the faint hearted (pun not intended) but when its cheap, its a simple choice (£1 per jaegerbomb). a fair few places still sell them at that price too. fun fun.

as for in the arena, maybe just get one beer every so often just to keep topped up.

Ouch, your football club has the carlsberg contract too then?

Ours used to sell only that until they started selling our local brew (Wrexham Lager) in the matchday bar, and that stuff is so, so good. Problem is, it goes straight to your head, which forces people to say a few choice words when we're playing badly, which tends to happen a lot this season

Mead banter aside, my poison of choice is ale. I usually bring a bunch of cans to drink - which unlike lager aren't vile drunk warm - and then if the bar is selling good ale I'll get a couple of pints a day.

I usually bring a crate of some sort of cider for the campsite, then spiced rum for inside the arena. You can get foil pouches with screw tops in supermarkets, I fill them with rum and put them down the back of my skirt/jeans to take into the arena, then just buy coke inside to mix with it. If I'm feeling flush I'll buy a few cold ciders from the bar too.

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
    • Interesting the stat guys say 3 points and -3 goal difference is where it gets to 50/50 territory in terms of going to the last 32. If Scotland lose their last 2 at best they are on -1, play like they did yesterday and they could take a heavy loss.   However thinking about it positively get 4 points from the last 2 games and the group is won! Have heard a few saying Scotland should just park the bus next 2 games, but not sure they have the players to do it. From my perspective they could really do with a decent defensive midfielder to add balance, but not sure if they have one in the squad. They also need significantly more from Mctominay who I thought was poor, but understand he has been unwell.
    • Yup and they aren't all going to get them, some are going to miss out. Speaking of this, I met someone at RIP who went to RFP and his view was band wise it's value for money but it wasn't a festival itself he'd be rushing to return to. In fairness as well he probably liked more of the headliners there than me this year whereas I was more undercard and he wasn't returning.
    • Maybe Starmer's legacy will be a war with Russia.
    • How were GnR? Seen some videos and pictures and let's just say, the crowd to the sides at the front and in front of the sound tents were let's just say... Sparse compared to LB.
