His last post before all this, comparing Neil to our old friend Gazza/TheWayIam

To be fair Neil, seems to me that's what you do every year. You often have "sources" who just seem to echo rumours that are already out there. Educated guessing

You have something to tell us. You've already divulged that to the domino kid.

And I'm not biting on the Mick thing when you came out and said Fleetwood Mac are not playing. You wouldn't flat out lie (or is domino right about you? :))

Fleetwood Mac aren't playing this year. How many times do I have to say it? :)

Stevie Nicks solo set at Arcadia on the Saturday night everybody. :P

I'm not sure that you can do wifty-wafty to a pumpin' beat, can you?

EDIT: On a serious note, I'd be surprised if Fleetwood Mac didn't play in 2015.

me neither - which is why I'm pointedly saying "not play this year".

Otherwise I'll no doubt have some moron pull out a quote from this year to tell me I was wrong next year. ;)

im getting the impression it isnt the eagles now anyway which i think is for the best.

And while I'm disappointed by the recent fleetwood mac talk as i still had a suspicion they were gonna turn up, I think a crap pop saturday night headliner is definitely on the cards now ( kanye/rihanna/justin/madonna).

exciting stuff though eh? not of it matters though but what fun!

has it?

I'd suggest that it's of the same spontaneity as any normal announced tour.

The difference is at the punters end of things, that's all. Prince has chosen to try to make the world dance to his tune as a publicity stunt, and the world is falling for it.

As I've said previously the was word of this going on last year. So yeah it's just secretive booking, though the has been a degree of spoinunity to it, such as playing 2 sets last night and a rumored 3rd after that. The is one thing you can't levy at Prince is that he's found a way to stop touts and reward the loyalist of fans at a reasonable price so he isn't a greedy money grubbing shit like Status Quo or The Eagles or That Country Guy that racists and the Irish like.

Is it just an anti-touting thing then? Really just that?

OBVIOUSLY not but before your start criticizing Prince again I though I'd throw up some 'pros' for this style of booking he's doing.

I'm aware that he's got tout issues from his words at Le Havas' (sp?) the other day, so actually I'd have accepted it if you'd have told me it was just for that. It's not a stance I'd want to knock. :)
