You all seem happy to believe Neil's claim he has "sources".

You're all happy that sometimes these come to fruition and sometimes they don't, that some are right and some are wrong

It's waaaay over 90% that are right, of the ones that I categorically say are playing.

You're happy to take Neil at face value despite absolutely no evidence but you want me to prove he's incorrect

except of course the evidence of the waaaay over 90% that are absolutely correct.

And to whoever used Arcade Fire as an example of Neil being right, well he wasn't and he didn't predict them as headliner. They confirmed themselves and up to that point Neil himself didn't think they would play.

I didn't think they'd play so so much that they were the one and only act marked as strong rumour and placed against a day - the correct day.

That was a lucky guess, eh? Still, I had a one in 3 chance of being right.

I had the accurate information. What I didn't have was a full belief in that accurate information,

The example I posted is far from the only example and was just that, an example. There have been loads more over the years

As a forum and moderator you should know it's against any observed internet etiquette to mis-quote someone (without acknowledgment). A lot of people don't have time to trawl the back pages and substantiate what's been said and what hasn't.

Prince is rumoured yes.

He may or not be relevant depending on what your definition of relevance is.

Hes one of the best or one of the most overrated guitar players around.

Hes the new Jimi Hendrix or nothing like him at all.

Neil is being accused of plucking headliners out of the air. Much like that "Would you start the fans please" game from the Crystal Maze and then announced that they're definitely, 100%, nailed on to be headlining.

Julia Roberts may or may not be re-enacting the scene in Pretty Woman when she sings Kiss in the bath live on the Pyramid Stage.

Richard Gere's character really didn't appreciate how disease ridden she was in that movie. I mean, she was a 2x4 in the late 80s. She didn't really insist on him wearing a condom did she?! Did she act so irresponsibly with her other previous "clients".

Haha, poor Matt. It seems to be less 'dead in the water' than it was a week or two ago, but that's only because of Prince dodging a question at an interview (re: Glastonbury) the other day. As far as I'm aware, there's nothing more than that.
