The pit ran behind schedule from pretty early on, I went over for No Devotion and Black Peaks were still on and they were like 2nd or 3rd on.

That's shit, means As It Is and DMA's would have clashed probably instead of being easily apart. I'm less and less bothered I didn't go.

tell me you didn't watch me get pulled out

also Gaz As It Is were fucking garbage

To be fair, it's only about 3 songs I'm that bothered about, defo a band that will wear off but I'd to see them before that happens. As long as Ash fuck there set up completely I can live with not going tomorrow. The United game is on as well and with a Monday off work it'd be rude not to get a bit wobbly.

Day 2

Marmozets - obviously not as much crowd interaction as in a small venue but I think they proved they can pull off a great set without all that.

No Devotion - Good. Lot more energy live than the recorded stuff.

Pierce the Veil - same slot as sleeping with siren last year. Bigger crowd, got them into it really well and a much better performance than I expected.

Alexisonfire - kinda disappointing though I can't quite place my finger on why. Too high.

Missed Pvris due to the late running and the hundreds of people outside the tent before they'd even started.

Royal Blood - Pretty good, not the best I've seen them and didn't fill the set particularly well

Bring Me The Horizon - Absolutely smashed it

Twin Atlantic - Good sing along to end the night, felt like a headline set even if Rebel Sound weren't billed as a closing set.

Left before The Wombats to get the last train as we queued for a taxi for about an hour and a half the night before

I didn't mate haha. Has that second first barrier always been there? Swear it wasn't last time I went although that was 2012, it got pretty dangerous during Bring Me The Horizon with mosh pits opening and people being crushed backwards

watching some of the videos of BMTH and whilst the crowd seems to be loving it, the performance itself (especially from Oli) is piss poor to the point that he seems to be singing less than 50% of the time, with the other 50% being playback/audience participation. i didn't think he'd be able to hit all the notes of the new stuff when playing live, but i at least thought he'd give it a go

There's a backing track.

The less interaction was kind of why I'd rather see Marmozets inside instead while they establish themselves a bit more, I only like a couple anyway mind.

I don't mind Royal Blood but that high outside already just says to me too soon and again that you'll miss out on something on the wide open. As it happens I would have seen PVRIS anyway, or would I going by the people for the tent. They had quite a low place tbf given how much they've become noticed the last year. Does my head in when you've paid good money as things that should bring controlled better aren't which hinder your day unneeded.

On Twin Atlantic, not a fan of the newer album stuff but I think indoors in a great place for them, in the King Tuts at T is was great but they are Scottish.

Now they are more mainstream etc he'll feel he doesn't need to sing all the time and just be Jared Leto letting the crowd sing.

Think that Royal Blood set is getting a bit tired now, I'd think most people who were there yesterday had already seen pretty much the exact same show on at least one occasion. They need to go away for a bit and try and come up with something a bit different as the one new song was pretty much identical to all the old ones.

As someone who didn't know a single Twin Atlantic song I really enjoyed their show.

People all over my social media accounts moaning about how they aren't at Reading watching Catfish last night. Don't you just fucking hate society at times?

I'd have seen them

You guys on here love some seriously shit music

Acquired tastes I think is what you're looking for.

Agreed, and for Twin I get that. I've seen them a few times but the latest album wasn't up to standards.

Haven't gone this year but I found this last year (when it was first introduced).

I think they're trying to stop the side to side swaying that interrupted the Chase and Status set (2013) so much but it results in some almighty crushes at that back barrier. It was awful for Shikari last year.
