Anyone still in recovery?

Yes, I finally received my notifiable disease form in the post today.

Still suffering from the presence of campylobacter. 80 - 90 % of cases clear within a week... sometimes it can go on for 2 to 3 months!

I've had all but one of the symptoms, even the rare ones.

I've got to make a third appointment with my Dr next week as symptons are still present and the next step is to try some antibiotics.

Not norovirus then? Sounded just like it. Hope you feel better soon :)

I was back on my feet by the Thursday, tbh. I'd spent alot of time preparing physically, not feeling confident in my abilities, the result of which was that I had more stamina than any previous festival and my recovery time was minimal (day and a half of sleep, half a day of cleaning up afterwards).

Friend of mine's dad came back from 2009 with Swine flu :)

so what do you reckon caused it ? Undercooked meat or water ?

Struggling a bit with the booze since I got back, drinking far more than I should. I have always struggled with booze since I was a lad, but thought I was controlling it a bit in the weeks leading up to Glasto. Even went for a few bike rides in the evenings to get a bit fitter, haven't been for a ride (bike) since Glasto

Need to snap out of it, and cut down a bit... No, a lot

Get a grip man!

I went to Berlin on the tuesday, via Copenhagen. Me and a mate watched Patti Smith, supported by the brilliant Calexico, at Zitadelle Spandau, then had a couple of days absorbing ourselves in the sun, history and beers of my favourite city in the world. So my Glastonbury recovery only started a week after the festival and if I'm being honest still isn't complete. But nearly there.

I'll be honest.....

I got piles at Glasto this year.

Just NEVER EVER eat a load of chillies at a festival. It doesn't mix well with alcohol at all. It hurts like a bitch and the toilet facilities don't help too much!

I think it's fully healed now, thank god.

Had a few gigs then went to Hyde Park the weekend after Glasto to listen to the stones outside, then saw arctics in Italy and finally back to Hyde park to listen to the stones again so my Glasto comedown only really started Monday properly, and boy has it hard.

I've now used all my holiday/money up and have nothing to look forward to until Xmas (or getting tickets in October). Why can't it be glasto every day?

Not really had chance yet. Saw The Stones in London the weekend after and this weekend as well. Partied in Brighton after the first gig and did an all nighter in London this. Travelled from Scotland each time so with Glastonbury as well I've travelled about 3,000 miles going to gigs in the last 3 weeks.

I think the comedown will kick in this Saturday night. Great few weeks though!
