I can't see Biffy subbing a Scottish festival. They absolutely killed R&L so no doubt there'd be a big market for them to headline. I would much prefer a Biffy headline set rather than playing before anyone, a perfect band to finish off the night.

I think it's the most likely combination, but I wouldn't rule out the Tiesto/Calvin Harris combo and that's actually what I'm rooting for, so long as they don't have something awesome on the second stage. I reckon I'd eat that right up.

It would be even weirder to see Eminem behind Calvin Harris. Calvin Harris is closing T in the Park on the Saturday if it isn't another dance act that's on with him. Eminem doesn't play behind anyone.

I'm pretty much ruling out Eminem/Calvin Harris as a result. Which means IF Eminem plays, Biffy Clyro wouldn't be headlining.

The thing thats making me think its not Calvin Harris is when they said something along the lines of applying for the later license to perth + kinross council it was to allow T the chance of getting a pair of headliners to rival other fests in the UK, now I know it could all just be spin but they have booked Calvin for the last 5 years or something like that so why would they have needed an extra amount of time to get him and someone else where they could just have booked him with ease and not forked out on essentially 4 headliners

Keese said him and arctic monkeys were headlining.

Arctic monkeys were announced.

Eminem announces a worldtour that puts him in Europe come july.

Keese is known for getting bands due to his sources! Nothing confirmed but right now it looks likely!

Has no one considered that it might be Arctic Monkeys on the Saturday and a dance act after them, with the common examples in Biffy/Eminem on either the Friday/Sunday?

I'll go back to my old stance of Calvin isnt playing too. Probably Aviccii but there hasnt been many 'huge' electronic/dance acts announced for other fests on the continent yet outside maybe Skrillex (who wouldnt be a main stage act) to make proper judgment of that yet

Arctics could be a shout for the Saturday aye, especially as they're in Portugal (or Spain, can't remember which) on Thursday night. Would be a bit of a squeeze to get all their equipment up to Scotland in one day. Following that logic, it seems sensible for them to headline T on either Saturday or Sunday

    • I've been told beer will be cheaper until 6pm. Anyone can confirm?   Not like i'll drink more than 1-2 in 38 C degrees.
    • This!   Biffy Clyro I don't think would ever get asked, I just don't think it us their scene and it certainly wouldn't be a wise move for them after how the Finsbury Park show went. If they ever had a chance of regaining or staying a bit higher up taking Slam Dunk isn't how you do it. For the cost of it now I think being into the main headliner does make a difference though.
    • Sabrina I actually think is alright, but as an overall thing including Fontaines in the mix it does look very boring.
    • I went to the O2 show as had cheap NHS tickets. I did love the whole Machine Gun Kelly vs MGK Emo/Pop Punk stuff amusing and could see that show going down well. I thought it was so funny watching the video skits of a die hard old skool fan gradually morphing in to an Emo Kid. That show with less old Machine Gun Kelly tunes and more MGK Pop-Punk would be ace.   Pair him against a heavy act on the other stage and jobs a goodun,
    • Not sure if this is allowed, but I have an additional daily ticket which I’m willing to sell for a heavily reduced price. If you, or someone you know wants to go that day, but wouldn’t for the original price, let me know.    Edit: It’s for Friday
