What are the odds of the red hot chili peppers headlining next year? I wish we could have more bands like green day and the foo fighters there but it's turned into a pop fest. I do like pop music but IMHO nothing sounds better live than rock.

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers are the worst band I have seen at T, such a disappointment.Terrible.

I wasn't looking forward to seeing them at Coachella this year really but as they were the only major act I was bothered in I thought give it a go and they were on form. Even loads on the official forums who hated that it was them announced had to give them some praise.

I thought RHCP in 2006 were ok. Aside from a couple of great songs I find their stuff a bit meh and samey but they put in a decent performance that night. The rain spoilt it for a lot of people but I hardly noticed it. I don't know if they are big enough to headline anywhere nowadays, they seem to have lost their way.

Still definitely a big enough name to headline, even if their recent sales haven't made it look that way.

2006 was a strange one. A great opening trio of songs and then it all went downhill.

Best thing I remember of that set was John Frusciantes cover of 'How deep is your love', that and it being a bit cold and wet, the day after was a scorcher however

Last time RHCP played was my first T. They were a massive let down. Had a great setlist imo (ie pretty much a greatest hits) but everything seemed so flat and half arsed

I've got a fairly extensive wishlist. Some of these are unlikely, some are probably impossible, and I realise that. So pointing that out won't do much good. Some of these acts might not be great live, but I won't have seen them and would look to make my own judgment.

Saw Franz Ferdinand last night and they were cracking. Not sure where I could see them fitting in at T tho. Not really big enough to sub now but too big for an earlier slot. Maybe subbing NME?

I think Rockness could maybe get them this year.

I thought a main stage sub would be a decent slot for them. Like you, I'm not sure if they're big enough, but they have enough biggish songs to pull it off and are a decent live act.

I can't see their new album doing well. It's out on Monday but there's very little awareness of that. I think that could make or break them. If the album does alright, a sub spot might be justified. If not, I could see an NME sub or even a Tuts sub if they do play T next year.

I saw Franz last night as well, absolutely superb! New songs were amazing, and the old tunes were huge fun. Things really kicked off at Take Me Out. I don't think they're quite big enough for main stage sub now, maybe 3rd though. Tut's headliner would be stunning though, the intimate atmosphere would be great.

Personally I think franz Ferdinand should play a smaller stage and headline it so they get a nice long set.

Nothing worse than a band with a great back catalogue playing for 50-60 mins.

I could see him make the jump to headline status next year. Especially if him and Tiesto are still touring together next summer.
