Yes you did. First of all, you asked for the whole top four of Pyramid to be taken over, and then you suggested at least the top two. Why should they book any acts of any genre in a row? They spread acts of every genre throughout the festival, and that's the way it should stay.

There's heavier stuff which is awful as well, landfill can be applied to metal. Just because it has some extra drums in it, doesn't negate the possibility of it being fecking awful.

Enter Shikari and the Pumpkins are heavy enough for Glastonbury. If the 'heaviness' of QOTSA is seen as dangerous and exciting then it's probably best not to go into the likes of Metallica.

in all fairness if the prodigy can headline certain other places and only take other header at glasto then so could daft punk. i'm not sure glasto would be prepared to offer and take the risk on daft punk for pyramid - just put them up against a very popular choice on pyramid

I don't think Daft Punk will be a big deal next summer. They'll headline one or two places in UK, maybe even Glasto but I'm not convinced the crowd would be huge. This year however would have been massive.

i just wonder if they are between that other stage and not enough for the pyramid. similarly to T, i think between radio 1 stage and main stage. if they are about i'd have said they were nailed on for BBC Radio one big weekend?

but for those reasons above, I see them headlining the smaller festival that is a better fit for them, but that concept generally fits hand in hand. Like GG, Bestival and Creamfields (they are smaller festivals).

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree about the size. I think the hype of seeing them live would only warrant a pyramid slot should they play Glasto. Yet equally, i can't see Glasto as the most likely option. Bestival, Wireless etc seem moreso to me.

this is what i'm saying, there are more viable options anyway even if they could. if wireless are going down that pop/urban route, fat punk may not be their cup now.

if glasto are going to get them, it'll be the following year after a cash in - there would be a lot more hype about a SR of this than in respect Efestivals has heard as their info is quite good usually and if it's a verbal agreement it means that a band that never tour have agreed to and are up for it. There reunion is no different to any other big cash in reunion and for them it takes away 1000's from ticket sales.

    • Hezbollah rejected it. Really Israel should get the f**k out, and US and others should support the Lebanese govt in defeating Hezbollah.
