Glastonbeard!

So, I've not shaved for just over 3 weeks an was thinking about keeping the beard for the big G. Opinions of friends and family are mixed and I haven't considered the practicalities (washing, getting food in it etc.) so wanted some impartial opinions.

To assist, here's me and the clan: -

I've been growing mine for a while now also and am waiting for a better weather forecast before making a decision, sunny, it'll be taken off. Cold and wet and I'll keep it (Mainly to avoid an odd tan on my face if I do take it off). Unfortunately I don't look like my photo on my ticket anymore, ohh well.

Do beards of the length in that photo block the sun from reaching your face? If you tan while at glastonbury, when you shave it off, are you left with a beard of pale skin?

I've not shaved in about three weeks and my beard is quite pitiful. But despite it's patchiness I am quite enjoying it so I might keep it for Glasto.

Photo is awesome, you must be proud. Family's alright too!

Anyhow keep it, looks good and shaving is a hassle. Mine gets too shabby without a little attention but it beats the years I tried to stay all clean and sharp

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.

    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
