  1. 4 SeeTickets Team members have joined the meeting. SeeTickets Support: "We've been inundated with calls from people saying they clicked on the link we sent them link but now their registration has disappeared" SeeTickets IT Director: "Yikes. We must have deleted a load of registrations even though people confirmed them." SeeTickets Manager: "So how are we going to fix it? The sale goes live this evening...." SeeTickets IT Director: "Don't worry we'll merge all the deletions back into the database. It can't be that hard. I'm sure we have a backup and all the transactions logs from the last few months" SeeTickets Database Admin: "Oh f**k" SeeTickets Database Admin has left the meeting
  2. They will deliver even if you are not there. You give the delivery guy a credit card number and location (and leave the empty one visible)
  3. Let me answer my own question! Festival Gas 07930758893 can replace a 6kg Propane to a What3words location in East 17 for £35. Excellent service!
  4. I suspect the answer is no, but does anyone know if it's possible to buy/refill a 6kg calor gas tank in CVE?

    Pilton Park

Found an old 1930 OS map of the site. I didn't know that the site was known as Pilton Park.
  7. I arrived on Thursday afternoon last year. No queue and ended up in E14. There were only a couple rows filled up after us and there was plenty of space free. Left on Monday afternoon and again no queue.
  8. The issue with any tech solution is that if it goes wrong, it can go wrong big time for everyone all at same time. With physical paper and wristbands you can do manual workarounds (for example double wristbanding in 2005 floods) or telling punters whose tickets were misdelivered to pick up a tixket at gate A. Also you are open to unexpected attacks.... so if I knew there was an Ethernet cable I could cut or a generator I could turn off, I might do so in the hope that everyone would be waved in. Simple physical solutions are often the best ones.
  9. Right by your van! You can create your own shower quite easily. 10 litre container with a kettle of boiling water is enough for a warm 4min shower using a Whale immersion pump, 12v battery, outdoor changing tent and an old shower head...
  10. Last year we arrived on Thursday PM and unsurprisingly there was zero queue to get in! My question is is.... When does the traffic/queue going into CVE subside? Are there queues all of Tuesday PM? When does it quieten down on Wed?
  11. A thumbs up for Paul's Mobile Disco (we saw him at Bimble Bandada last year and he was very entertaining)
  12. A friend used a wheelbarrow to transport his kids (one of the muddy years). Worked quite well!

    Campervans

Last year we had Thursday coach so I left my Campervan near Bath and West and then drove into CVE on a friend's CV ticket. The last vans end up in East 14 which is not too far.
  14. I am thinking of using a garden trolley like this because it has clearance for mud and wide wheels and a flat bottom so a 1yr old can lie flat and sleep.... do you think it will work? I would make a canopy for shade/rain protection....It seems to me that if the terrain is bad I would rather be pulling than pushing...
  15. As a new grandfather I have been tasked with constructing/modifying a suitable vehicle to transport a 1 year old (in June) around Glasto. Any tips from the 2022 "lockdown baby" contingent? What works, what doesn't work?
  16. Some of us got Glasto tix but a bigger group are going to Shambala
  17. It's a bit like being a new parent. You get loads of good advice, ignore it and eventually learn from your mistakes! We have a rendezvous point and a general agreement to meet up there at a given time (Bimble at 7). Otherwise never have to be anywhere at any specific time - just leads to stress. Take a big battery pack - nothing more tragic than sitting in the EE tent charging your phone. Don't be a passenger. Participate. Make someone else's festival memorable! Get dressed up - buy some outfit from Oxfam on the Wednesday.
  18. I have just bought tickets after it said it was sold out....
  19. so payments failing which explains why not sold out yet?
