If there's a secret act on up there it'll be a band that the Park can accommodate without H&S fears. If there's a bigger act in the same league as Pulp or Radiohead there's a very real risk that the place will become as overcrowded as in 2011. That would be enough to make MDC very unhappy, and if there were an injury due to the overcrowding they'd do their pieces. And with the best will in the world there's no way that secrecy can be absolutely guaranteed for the event - there's just too many people involved. So why would the organisers risk the license for a big act when they could put on a secret set elsewhere without the H&S fears.

So my guess is no big act.

Grinderman it is then. ;)

I thought I'd read they're just going to try and keep the names under wraps better? So if you want to see the secret gig then you need to turn up and see who shows up on stage. Everyone on the site knew the day of the gigs in 2011 who was playing the secret acts.

What are you bitches on about? What time is Cat Power on? If it transpires I don't get to see her and The Pumpkins I will cause somebody immense pain.

^ West Holts FB page announced that the set times were coming Monday.

If there is a 'secret Park headliner', I'm going to stir the pot regarding Atoms For Peace. They've announced a full band club gig in LA which is taking place on Friday. So clearly Thom Yorke's comment about them not getting their act ready for Glastonbury was a big fat lie!

I was at the Radiohead Park show and hadn't seen them since Reading 99. I managed to get a spot where the sound was good and because I had not kept upto date on their stuff. For me it was like discovering an amazing new band. Afterwards I lingered about and caught Caribou who were amazing. 2 superb shows completely chuffed. Annoyingly I chose Elbow over Pulp grrrrrrrr

    • Same’s happened at MSG recently with Rush and Phish alternating nights. I guess each band has its own unique production so their riggers will be kept busy
    • The rumour was uk arena tour late this year.  Same as Charli xcx cant be announced until Reading headline is done.
    • Latest from the sun at least is that harry is still headlining but Olivia has turned down a spot next year to work on new music and hope for 2028.   So they can't have Fender, Fontaines, Harry, Olivia and Madonna.
    • I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
    • live music / main stage will generally end around 11pm but theres dj’s and late goings on right till 4am if you are so inclined.   Drinks are about £7.50 a pint probably and yes theres lots of mixed drinks / spirits / cocktails available to buy   wonderful festival, back for my third year in a row and 4th overall
