I don't think Moby is big enough to headline the main stage anymore is he? But what about Massive Attack? They fill the spot of dance headliner & add a more alternative vibe to the top of the bill.

I know they've headlined before, but Rob said he'd rebook Kraftwerk due to the 3-D show being a different experience... well Massive Attack are doing "Massive Attack vs Adam Curtis" which is a totally different show with a more political/illusions edge at the Manchester International festival. (Bjork also headlined Bestival the year she previewed a new show at MIF.) Plus they're only from Bristol so Daddy G doing a dj set or something at the party on Wed wouldn't be unreasonable...

Who am I kidding, it's gonna be Example isn't it :( haha.

True, the fact that Bestival has chosen Mixmag to give away tickets to Wednesdays announcement suggests it is a dance orientated act though. This wait is killing me.

i thought moby due to the fact you never see him around any fests anymore, certainly a solo act thus the guest comment, and definitely the right genre for mixmag to be sniffing around? and he did headline glasto one year??? (i think) so has the pedigree? i dont know maybe wishful thinking on my behalf? but he would be quite a booking!

"Dear Ticketline Customer,

This is a courtesy email regarding your resent purchase for It’s ‘All Aboard the HMS Bestival’ Party.

Please make sure you arrive by 6.30pm at the latest to see the announcement at 7pm and the intimate exclusive set by our Friday night headliner**"

Ok so emphasizing the word intimate again I reckon it's not gonna be a DJ/Dance act (though I'll probably eat my words tomorrow night) on the basis of nothing but gut instinct I'm gonna say Nick Cave as that's who I want and I don't reckon that they'd book 2 "rap" headliners (Plan B or Example.)

How about this for a guess, Queens of the Stone Age. The logic,

- On Jools Holland in Maidstone tonight, no other gigs in Europe until mid June, long way to come for Jools Holland

- New Album released next month

- Doing some European festivals this year, but only Download in the UK

- No gigs from mid August until early October.

- Have a history of doing small "intimate" gigs, try googling it to see the list.

    • Addison Rae has 33m instagram followers, Slayyyter 667k. Also 15 to 7,5 million spotify listeners with Addison's last release being more than a year ago. Obviously these metrics aren't everything, but still there is a big gap in popularity between the two.
    • Seems like the most obvious choice. Surprised they havent played since 2019 either.
    • My review of All Together Now 26, it was a whopper. https://niallmcquaid.wordpress.com/2026/08/06/all-together-now-2026-festival-review/
    • Yep it was on my list, id have loved to have gone.
    • Am a relative amateur in the ticket/tech shenanigans and not part of a large group etc. but personally preferred the F5 bashing approach and got through twice in recent yrs (plenty when didn't, mind) - 2023 but it crashed on me at the final hurdle and then again in 2024 where I held my nerve when it crashed again and managed to get.  Think now I am committed to volunteering if doing festivals as that's close to my heart, so happy to help others when the time comes round.   The most impressive I've seen was bus sales in 2022 when 2 mates casually bagged tickets while in San Sebastian, on a phone inside the stadium during a Real Sociedad v Man Utd game!
