Have just driven past the main entrance on my way home. Great clouds of dust being blown up by the seemingly never-ending stream of HGV's I see going in every time I pass.

Rain is predicted by the majority from Thursday to Sunday yes .. But we'll just have to wait and see how much it does actually rain. Light showers here and there shouldn't do too much damage as photos from the site show it looks reasonably dry.

Predicting rain means that it's likely to rain at some point but is far from specific about length and quantity. That's my hope. And them a heatwave from Monday for a week .. Perfect.

Local weather forecast on the TV just now predicts heavy rain on Thursday with 'localised problems'. Continuing wet on Friday and Saturday but getting better next week.

Looks like us locals are taking one for the team this week.

I'm a wreck reading this.

Yesterday I was convinced to the core that it was going to be glorious sunshine all the way.

Today I've nosedived and I'm now worried about drowning on site.

Who knows what tomorrow will bring with my Bi-polar weather disorder.

Not looking forward to Jackones update tonight, some shocking runs being put out on netweather forums putting a low directly over the UK for the whole Glastonbury weekend. Thankfully I don't know how to interpret weather charts, but it did look particularly shit!

If it's any encouragement, the site (as of Saturday) was looking waaay better than 2011.

That year, same day, it was in a dire state. A few build teams soldiering on whilst most had just hunkered down.

This year it was cracked earth in many places, and just a few pools of water from some showers. More will have landed Sunday, but it'll still be in better shape than last time.

If it's just a few bits of rain between now and gates opening, it should be pretty good as a starting point.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
