Compared to 2011 (11), and 2010 (14), that's makes it a stronger line up in terms of bands I really want to see.

There's a lot of chaff on the Other Stage and Pyramid this year though, probably level with 2011 overall.

It's each to their own ultimately. If I'd not already seen Elvis, Primal Scream, Dizzee, Arctic Monkeys plenty of times I'd probably have a higher opinion of it generally.

Rolling Stones, Steve Winwood, Elvis Costello, Jake Bugg, Smashing Pumpkins, Hives, Miles Kane, Johnny Marr and Billy Bragg and Primal Scream are some of which im likely to be watching hoping a clash wont put a spanner in the works.

That with the site changes im sure I will find time to go wandering and see what I can get up to between bands.

Yep love the line up. Actually one of the few who like all of the headliners ( I know, how uncool am I!). My list of want to see acts is:

Yeah I agree, in terms of diversity this years lineup is very very balanced! There really is something for everyone! I mean I think they must of spent time thinking about providing for almost every type of festival goer!

2009 elicited a reaction I would describe as "amazing" from me just by way of comparison mate.

But I would have seen ten of those already, ye see. Most of them more than once. Of the ones I haven't seen (Alt J / P.E.) I've tickets to see prior to the festival in June.

Also, the schedule is going to make it impossible for you to see more than 2/3 of this list. If Winwood and Portishead were on at a different time to Chic I'd be there in a heartbeat for example...

I don't mean to bring down the tone or temper peoples excitement - apologies if that is what it seems - I just think a bit of perspective is required. Its a decent line up, but certainly nothing spectacular. In comparison to '94/'95/'97/'00/'04/'05/'09 (to name but 7) its a marked step down in quality.

There is still some way to go before the whole thing is finalised. Some scope for more quality to come through.

I'd agree but I think that says more about other lineups than it does Glastonbury. Were we in a strong year for lineups, the lineup might be looked on differently.

Wooderson - Do you think that If you'd not already seen a lot of those already then you'd have a different perspective on the quality?

I touched upon it earlier but I do reckon age and experience will have an impact. It's rare I'll look at other festival line ups and get excited any more, either because it's acts I'm not into or that I've seen a multitude of times.

If I was 10 - 15 years younger I would probably be more interested in all the Indie/NME type acts that are on the JPT/Other it's less likely I'd have seen some of the more regular acts like Primal Scream, Nick Cave, Dizzee etc. I'd be feeling completely different I reckon.

Yeah it could have been better, but to me it's a better line-up than 2011, as good as 09 and 10, and as I and other have said, other UK festivals don't come close to this quality this year. I was actually expecting it to be a lot worse. Exclusives at other fests have had a definite effect though.

Few changes I would have made - off the top of my head - that could have been within Glasters' reach.

- J5 on the Jazzworld instead of Mr. Weeknd (or whatever)

- Depeche Mode on after Arctics on the Friday

- Tom Petty on after Mumfords headlining the Sunday

- Burt Bacharach in the legend spot

- Patti Smith headlining the JP up against the Stones

- John Grant headlining the Park on the Sunday

- ZZ Top / Bob Seger / David Byrne all added to Pyramid 5pm spots
