Bristol's the easiest for me (what with living there), followed by Oxford and Cardiff. I can do London and Birmingham and get back afterwards but prefer not to. Manchester I've got gig-going friends up there so if it's a weekend date I usually use it as an excuse to visit them and then get free room+board for 3 days to balance out fuel cost. Other cities I'd have to either crash with mates who wouldn't go or find a hostel.

In reality I expect London/Birmingham/Manchester + maybe one of Leeds/Sheffield

Sounds like Trent was persueded to play by being told guff like 'yours will be a more than just a sub set' or 'you'll be like a second headliner' without the finer details regarding their set-up being discussed, then when the time came it wasn't possible due to what Biffy wanted to do. So technically Biffy's set-up prevented NIN from having theirs but the headliners will always get preference. I doubt very much that Biffy specifically tried to stop NIN having their set-up. Could Biffy have altered or changed their setup to allow NIn to have theirs? Possibly, but why the fuck should they? They're headlining R&L, probably their biggest career moment to date for them and they want to do it with a bang.

I really enjoyed Reading, but I had had a sneaky look at the Leeds setlist so I was expecting no Hurt etc. I'm glad we got the new songs though, Copy of A is brilliant live, and the ending combo of Gave Up and Wish was mental. It's still my performance of the weekend.
