They're referred to as headliner about 67 times in that article, mind you it is the NME.

Also have you seen the front cover, Here comes the big guns.

NIN, Eminem, Biffy Clyro, Green Day.... and Jake Bugg! WTF is he doing on the front, he's not even headlining the stage he's on! SOAD should have been listed instead!

So I'm left a little surprised after the Leeds performance after having seen the fuji rocks and lollapalooza gigs on you tube. Completely different set list with none of the screens in the background. Found it a little subdued. Surprised no hurt at the end too.

I would agree Biffy out did NIN with the stage show but I thought NIN were far superior musically, one of my mates is a massive Green Day/System fan and thinks NIN were the best band he has seen all weekend despite not knowing much of their material, personally it wasn't as good as 2007 but I guess Trent was taken aback by the response of the crowd or lack of it at Pukklepop and decided to change the show due it being in day light, I think Reading will get the new show tonight which is a bit shit for us people at Leeds!

Personally for me, soad have been the band of the weekend along with biffy. All the guys in soad seemed like they were having a really good time and they were the tightest I've ever heard them. I'm not sure if its true, but from what I've heard posted, the band's seem to be going down a lot better with the crowd at Leeds than reading.

    • We head out in the morning. Couple of nights in New York then up to Boston. Enjoy the games lads and hopefully we get some great football to take our minds off the whole shitshow off the pitch.
    • White Stripes/QotSA at Harewood 2007, Tramlines (and Blue Dot, same weekend) in '23, and Elbow at Jodrell Bank '13.
    • Yeah exactly, the shock moments, group layouts, etc all end up playing out differently once you get into the tournament. However you tweak it, you don't predict shocks.
