which is why it's so brilliant. he gets carried up there by his security guard, barely plays guitar, screeches and then jumps off stage, fucking up the stage set as he does. it's lunacy

I know Neil and The Nal are not fans, but he's been amazng every time I've seen him. Probably the only act in the world that could get me to the Pyramid for a headlining spot. He'd tear the pyramid a new arse.

Obviously, like anything, them as like him will be happy, those as don't will remain unconvinced. But can you imagine 'Raspberry Beret' blasting out across the fields? That'd be heaven

And yeah, I know it's never going to happen. I know, I know.

he'd be an incredible headliner. No doubt. My biggest regret is not seeing him on his residency at the o2. Was just too skint at the time. I don't mind if its glasto or not though, I just want to see him live. I'm sure I'll get another shot.

Prince is one of the few artists who has stayed consistently mind blowing in his live performances. his recorded output might've gotten a bit crappy over time (that last one he released free with the Daily Mail was just terrible) but live he is a force to be reckoned with, and despite playing a lot of covers / lesser known tracks he almost always plays all of his massive hits (as well as ridiculous stuff like three encores)

This performance is amazing. How have I never seen this until now!? I also love the way that Prince never sings a single note & he still makes the other guys look like his backing band.

    • made a last minute decision to go to Belladrum festival.   it was absolutely wonderful.   never been before, to be honest I think I was expecting a stage in a field and a burger van, but its nothing at all like that.   the site is beautiful, its small enough to get around, but big enough that there are things to discover round each corner, there are a good number of small stages tucked away.   you could quite easily convince yourself you were in Glastonbury in places.   I may have only been one time, but already learned a valuable lesson - the site itself may be Glastonbury like, but the "general camping" campsite is very much Reading like! as the morning mist rises... its a view like the Do Lung Bridge scene in Apocalypse Now...   so if you are not 15 years old, go to family or quiet camping which is fantastic.   its a real family friendly festival to - loads of families and kids of all ages running round and stuff for them to do.   I would 100% recommend it, and I really can't see any reason why I wont be going back next year!   🙂
