Makes perfect sense for him to sub, he subbed the Stone Roses at V this year so similar sort of billing.

Pretty sure with a new album out soon Liam/Beady Eye will be hoping to get on somewhere (Despite what Liam said a few years back about never playing again). Noel so high up the bill would also be a massive two fingers up to Liam

I think it's very unlikely that Noel would play before Arctic Monkeys. It's normally the case that the act which preceeds the headliner is very different in its style/genre to the headliner - while Noel and then AM would be two acts that are very similar.

I think NGHFB are pretty much the best sub-headlining act going. Saw him before the Stone Roses at T last year and he probably pulled the biggest crowd of the weekend. Plus, they were bloody excellent, new stuff went down a storm.

I am though, hoping for the Pyramid, as no better place for a big sing-along. I find The Other Stage an unpleasant experience.

i can't see him headlining Other AGAINST Arctic Monkeys. him subbing them, whilst unusual for Glastonbury because of their similarities, makes a hell of a lot more sense than putting two similar acts with similar fanbases up against each other. and those are really the only two spots he could play (unless he's third down on Pyramid with somebody musically different between him and AM)

Watched him on TV at IOW and my word he was dull. It was like it was happening in slo-mo. That said I can't see him lower than subbing. They booked Elbow before Coldplay last time out. I know it wasn't their first choice but it happened. Noel's return to Glastonbury could get a fair bit of press fuss and if he's doing a one-off they may accept him playing before a band he likes.
