Line Up Announcements.

So we're approaching the possible line-up announcement dates every single day, but when do you think the glasto team will finally let anything out into the wild?

Judging by last years, I'm going to guess early February, However I won't surprised if there is an announcement at the end of January!

(Extension to this thread)

Who do you think will be the first to be announced? My prediction is one headliner with a couple other acts. (I would like to believe The Rolling Stones will be the first to be revealed if everything goes to plan, if not them the Arctics).

Please feel free to have a full discussion I love speculation! :P

Judging by past years, I think we will be lucky to get anything until halfway through Feb at the least. And even if we do then, I doubt it will be the Stones, for the reasons mentioned already in other threads. If indeed the AM's ARE headlining, I can see them being the first announcement

They can announce whoever they like whenever they like, and I still don't think the buzz would come anywhere near the feeling of getting my booking confirmation in October. After that I knew I was going to Glastonbury.

I like the line up a few weeks before I go so that I can discuss with friends and look up some of the bands that I've not encountered.

But even if the line up doesn't contain my hoped fors I'm still going and that's what counts.

We usually sit down on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning when we've got the official programme to start planning our viewing.

it'll probably change after your first!

you'll find your own favourite places on the site, or want to go back and see bits you missed. bands come and go. there are gigs all year round, but the good stuff at Glastonbury - the stuff that you don't get or see or feel anywhere else - only exists for a few days a year. not that i'm knocking seeing bands at Glastonbury. that is ace too, there's just a lot more besides.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
