Thom Yorke

Radiohead / Thom Yorke being at Glastonbury the past two years has definitely made it seem like overkill, but them headlining would be something very different indeed from the two sets they played (one full of Thom solo stuff and the other relying heavily on their new album). their two past headline performances have gone down in history as being two of the best headline performances Glastonbury has seen, so their next one (whenever it may be) is highly anticipated. to be honest though, they are still on the King Of Limbs tour, and so it'd make more sense for them to headline Glastonbury after their next album (whenever that may be)

I would love it to be Radiohead. I did see the Park set in 2011, enjoyed every minute. But a Pyramid headline is just something else. I saw them in Finsbury park in 2008 and they were amazing. If they don't play then so be it but i would be there if they did.

Unfortunately it's a stone cold fact that if you don't like Radiohead then you aren't a proper music fan/don't deserve to go to Glasto/shouldn't be allowed to listen to music/etc.

God help you if you like them but only Creep and The Bends...

The Reading gig wasn't that great, if they thought opening with Creep would placate us old fuckers who weren't that into the newer stuff it didn't really work. They could have left that out and played two or three more songs from The Bends rather than thinking one song which most people don't care about any more (despite what the myth is) would cover 'playing old stuff'. It felt a bit insulting, sort of "these guys are idiots, if we play Creep it'll keep them happy so that we can fanny around for the rest of the set". I don't begrudge a band playing newer stuff that I don't like, it's disappointing but there were plenty there who did like it and the gig was for the them rather than me, but it just seemed like a lame reaction to a poorly-received set the night before.

Still, the lights were pretty, and I doubt they really care about pleasing the crowd at Reading or Leeds. Get the money, get the fuck out of there and get back to Glastonbury.

It was a strange gig.

I didnt get the set up with the 8 cameras above them which meant anybody watching the screens just got shots of their heads and the crowd was empty at the start (I walked to about 10 rows from the front during 15 step). Also I know they are not well known for their interaction but 2 sentences in a hour and a half, one of them being "hi, were the old guys playing at the end"

It was a decent gig but the reading setlist was miles better

have I? They played 2 songs from the bends at reading, and you are expecting 2 or 3 more. So you demand 5 songs out of a setlist of 24 songs from an album released in 1995, when they have 7 albums in total.

Yes, that seems like a reasonable request.

No doubt you wanted 5 songs from OK Computer too. So almost half the set list dedicated to 2 albums from the 90s. Not going to happen, and why on earth would it??

Get a time machine and go and see them at glastonbury in 1997.

    • Considering how popular of a booking Scooter have been I think they'd go down well
    • I mean I think unless you are camped in a particular bit which apparently you just get no sleep i feel it would be better setup to travel in from a hotel each day and back. Ah there is so many downfalls to it for me, I think the Download main stage area is so much better and that's coming from me. If you're camped in green to go round all the time and out for lidl and even water is stupid!
    • Did you camp or go for a hotel? I looked into it briefly and seems easy enough to get back to Nuremberg.
