Are Coldplay a guilty pleasure these days? If so, them.

Other guilty pleasures tend to be individual songs rather than artists e.g.

Cant Speak French - Girls Aloud

Get Outta My Way - Kylie

Umbrella - Rihanna

Teenage Dream - Katy Perry

Irreplaceable - Beyonce

Say It right - Nelly Furtado

She moves In Her Own Way - The kooks

OK, confession time, deep breath.............

I'll fly for you - Spandau Ballet

Cloud No.9 - Bryan Adams

Stay another day - East 17 (brilliant at Glastonbury 2009)

I want it that way - Backstreet boys

Can't believe it; all sad but true :)

Confusing thread lads. Are guilty pleasures limited to pop/silly indie acts? I don't see much outside of these two in the above suggestions.

If we're talking pop acts you don't listen to with yer mates but if they came on the radio you'd continue to listen, then I think these 3 are ace, so:

Annie - "Chewing Gum"

The Go Gos - "Our Lips Are Sealed"

Aaliyah - "We Need a Resolution" (Specially the synthy end bit - that is MEGA)

Mine would definitely be The Scissor Sisters. I own all the albums and have seen them live three times. Of the two years I've been to Glastonbury this is probably one of my favourite moments. I was like a giddy schoolgirl.

I don't feel guilty about any of the stuff I listen to. Much of which is considered shite to someone out there.

I suppose the definition of a guilty pleasure music wise is liking something that is considered uncool by the masses. If so, I could write you a list as long as your arm.

I love loads of 80s hair metal bands, not averse to the odd power ballad and have even paid to see Coldplay.

So sue me.

Mines would have to be-

George Michael (Don't feel guilty though he is really talented)

Wham! (A bit guiltier about this)

Take That - Don't really listen to them much but they have some really good songs

Robbie Williams - Grew up hearing him all the time

Kate Bush

Cyndi Lauper

Michael Jackson

Neil Diamond. My daughter reckons he's truly cheesy but he's got a great range of good sing-along material and puts on a good show.

No shame in The Wurzels or AC/DC (earlier comments) though for a bit of fun you can't beat Hayseed Dixie

I'm a sucker for a big sad melancholic pop song. The more sentimental and trashy the better. Things like Katy perry the one that got away.

Not so much guilty, most folks who know me know I love perfect forgettable pop music.

True guilty pleasure, as in made to feel guilty about, Malcolm Middleton. Some folks just don't think you should listen to really depressing funny music at Christmas.
