Well harsh mate!

A huge influence on lots of bands. One of the greatest frontmen/singers of all time (the way he connects with his audience!!) and maybe the greatest post 70s guitar player. A fabulous 12 string axe man.

Lyrically they're criminally underrated. In the clip above, JBJ not only shares an insight into his life, having "seen a million faces" but also his personal activities, having "rocked them all".

Musically they're on par with Charles Mingus or Duke Ellington at their swinging best, combining gorgeous melodies with......ah fuck it I can't do this.

They're fucking shit! Fucking w*nker cowards. c**ts of the highest order. Slane this year is going to be a fucking abomination. A cultureless mess. 1 gig a decade bog snorklers.

And I reckon they could sell it out!

1) I have a guilt-ridden liking of power-ballad 'Always' because almost 18 years to the day, it was playing on the radio in the Driving Test Centre and then stuck in my head all the way through passing my Driving Test. It has a happy association.

i saw GnR in '92 at Maine Road and they'd lost it by then. i was a 14 year old at my first gig and they were rubbish. i was heartbroken!
