I thought The Shield match was brilliant. Very pleased with BNB winning the title :) This feud with Cena has not done Bray Wyatt any favours imo, it's getting too cheesey now, that kid with the mic last night was ridiculous. I also thought the Bryan Kane match was below-par, I wasn't interested in it at all. I'm also not interested in this feud continuing. There's reports of a Buried Alive match at Payback. But I just wish they would turn Sheamus already.

I did not expect Sheamus to get the US Title. I'm guessing his heel turn won't take him into the main event and a programme with Bryan now. With Batista rejecting the opportunity to feud with Bryan, and Cena and Wyatt's feud continuing, I really can't see who will be the next title challenger after Kane. The Triple H match happened at Mania, and Orton/Bryan has been done to death.

CM Punk to return at Payback in Chicago :ninja:

it will be a last man standing match i reckon, and its easy to guess that it will be.

reason? kane just won't stay down so this will put that rivalry to bed.

thoughts on why it will be LMS: for the house shows on the UK tour thats the main event advertised...

So Kurt Angle's contract with TNA runs out in September, he's just had his third Surgery in past 6 months which brings him up to.... September.

Worst part is he openly says this is to fix something he's been wrestling with for 5 years so isn't URGENT.

So really the last year of his TNA contract, he is spending most of it getting himself fixed up as best as he can so when his contract is up he can head over to WWE in the best condition in years, and got paid by TNA for it.

He's really ripping the piss out of them, I wonder how they feel about this.

HHH and Vince must be pissing themselves.

I'd like to know the severity of Bryan's neck injury and whether he will be forced to relinquish the title or not. I've been a huge Bryan fan over last couple of years, but I've got to agree with a lot of opinions I've seen online; that he is better as a title chaser than he is as the champion. I know it's very premature to judge, and it's still early days, but his reign so far has been disappointing. This feud with Kane has been terrible, and ever since WrestleMania, the crowds don't seem as hot on him at all.

I'm not really sure who I think should get the title. The only thing I'm certain on is that it should NOT be Kane.

I would go with Batista personally. After Payback of course.

Or a certain someone returning in Chicago :ninja: *

* I am joking.

TBF on Bryan, he has been in a crap feud and had been off a lot because of his honeymoon and dad dying.

I heard he was out for 4-6 weeks, and if he is back by July, they will keep the title on him. They will know by this weekend in terms of his recovery, as the operation is on Thursday

How you can keep the title on someone with a broken neck I don't know.

Austin vacated the IC title in the same vein and he had only won it during the match it happened.

Austin v Owen was a fued that deserved longer, was awesome, Owen should have been pushed to main event level with him. They missed their chance end of 97 when he returned and bit HBK's ear in the main event of the DX PPV.

Vince could have took advantage of the Bret screwjob with Owen but instead he buried him out of spite.

I think if whoever wins the title is gunna drop it back to Bryan once hes fit, Id put it on HHH.

Make the Shield v Evolution at the PPV, whoever gets the pinfall of the match is the new WWE Champ.

no idea what that's about, but i know their shares dropped a lot today (40+%) - almost 50% at last look.

Its due to them not getting enough subscribers on the network, only got around 600k of them currently if figures read are to be believed, they're hoping for 1m by the end of the year supposedly but that still will make a shortfall and make them lose around $50m if all this info is correct.

so basically they need around 1.5m subscribers to the network to make up for the losses from people just buying normal ppvs via places like sky.

realistically they need to release the network globally as technically its only available in the usa from what i gather, although you can get around that.

all of this is according to the article on cnn i read. http://money.cnn.com/2014/05/16/investing/wwe-cable-deal/

Here's the Investment company statement

Lemelson Capital Announces Stake In World Wrestling Entertainment And Calls On Board To Pursue New Management Or Ownership

Marlborough, MA, May 16, 2014 -- Lemelson Capital, LLC, a private investment management firm, today announced that they had taken a stake in shares of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and called on the Board of Directors to replace the executive management team of the company following a period of consistent losses, execution issues and material misstatements.

Despite the stock's roughly 63% correction since Lemelson Capital's original short call less than two months ago (from $30.37 on March 17 to $11.33 as of publication of this release), the firm today also reiterated that fair value of WWE's common stock is between $8.25 and $11.88.

Lemelson Capital's original short thesis can be found here:

"WWE has affirmed that even with one million subscribers for its WWE network, the company stands to lose between $45 million and $52 million in FY 2014, which validates the original short thesis," said Emmanuel Lemelson, Chief Investment Officer of Lemelson Capital Management. "This follows what we believe to be material misrepresentations by the company about both the performance and operating profit model of its WWE network, which the company has wrongly labeled 'a homerun'," said Lemelson.

Lemelson Capital today also called on WWE's Board of Directors to promptly replace the company's executive management team, or explore the sale of the business, and said that such changes are a necessary component of any successful strategy going forward. "For example, promoting the WWE direct network's value to shareholders without a fair and accurate discussion of the implications to a traditional network revenue circumvented management's fiduciary responsibility as stewards of investor's capital, and is part of what has emerged as a pattern over recent years. Further, there are no pending operational developments in the pipeline to offset these significant losses," Lemelson added.

Lemelson Capital and its clients are long shares of WWE.

Is Daniel Bryan's neck actually broken? I think there was a few hints that the surgery wasn't major and he might be back soon and there was a few "lets see what happens" hints. Kurt Angle had surgery on his neck in WWE and wasn't out for long.

Fair enough, i suppose it makes sense if they have invested heavily in the company for them to want a different approach that makes them money.

all i can think of is "he's a millionaire who should be a billionaire"

anyway tna related: another person left, really wondering how they are going to replace all the people who have left/been told they aren't being given another contract... really seems that they are on the decline at the moment.

not 100% sure, but there may have been a small fracture or something. we'll find out monday when he's due back i think, as they are going to announce what to do with the championship - will give a time frame of when they expect him back possibly.

if he isn't back in the next month or so, then they'll probably make him drop it, but really who would pick up the title - batista? orton? kane? (god forbid) cena?

hopefully he'll be back soon but you never know

hernandez,

daniels had left recently, and potentially kazarian will be leaving soon as well.

know they still have a decent roster but all these guys leaving will either end up in RoH or maybe even GFW when that launches.

also another thing: Prince Devitt (from NJPW) has supposedly signed for the wwe,

    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
