I thought Avatar was a cool world-Creation, in terms of imagination as well as visually.

Plot wasn't worth a damn though, but I expected that.

I wasn't that impressed with it visually, I'd thought it be more orginal looking rather than just a space forest that glowed blue.

Might watch Zero Dark Thirty tonight, Kathryn Bigelow's new film ( the hurt locker) which is being tipped for the oscars once again.

Well I don't bother with reviews (I'm my own critic) so I don't know what kind of reaction it's getting.

If you are a Tarrantino fan there is a good chance you will enjoy it. It is probably a bit longer than it needs to be though. I don't give 8.2/10's away willy-nilly either!

I used to love Tarantino until IB, which I thought was good (great in places - Waltz of course) but QT just needs to reign himself in more, rambling dialogue is great in small doses - the diner in reservoir dogs is sublime, but he shouldnt take that as carte blanche to write pages and pages of irrelevant rambling dialogue into every single movie he makes.....

8.2/10 is high praise indeed.

Waltz smashes it yet again, DiCaprio and Foxx do ok as well. It's quite a different experience to IB and has some great scenes and it's hard to resist investing the 3 hours on Tarantino, personally I was not dissapointed and coming from someone who struggles to watch most films over 2 hours, I found this a breeze.

Does Django actually feel like a westerner or does it try to do it's own thing? I'm glad Will Smith didn't end up being in it as every scene would be me thinking it's Wild Wild West 2.

came out on sunday. its oscar season, all the screeners are doing the rounds. Flight isnt out until Feb afaik, but thats out.

No its not. But out in the US. The screeners are sent to the Oscar judging guys and have subsequently leaked.
