Obviously they couldn't of known T in the Park's line up but Rockness has missed a trick here by releasing the tickets for this year so late, I think a lot of people would be wanting to buy a Rockness ticket after the disappointment from the T line up. From the reaction of people I know and from of the comments on the T Facebook page, looks like a lot of people are interested in trying Rockness or other festivals this year instead and I think they would of sold a lot of tickets for Christmas presents etc. I just hope the potential influx of people from T in the Park doesn't have an impact on the atmosphere of Rockness, which I've always found to be much more friendly...

It's got no chance of growing IMHO if they can't even stick up next year's dates on their own website 6 months before the festival is supposedly on. How hard can it be?

They should have had early bird tickets on sale before the Stone Roses and TITP tickets went on sale.

It's almost as if the organisers are trying to slowly kill Rockness off.

Electric Picnic has a bigger variety of acts does it not? Always thought its lineup followed a style similar to Bestival (yeah, the 'Nesstival' arguments been done) if anything though, the lack of competition over there helps it I'd have thought.

Could be that one or two of the main acts they have cant be announced till a certain time, and RN would probably find it better to announce these together?

Would love to see Above & Beyond at Rockness, don't get why they don't book more dance acts. It originally was a dance festival! You think of Creamfields which is the same price (albeit bigger, think it's 50,000) and they book an unbelievable amount of djs. Don't think Rockness what direction to go in the past few years, seems like they are trying to compete against Titp with recent line ups and that is so stupid cause they are never gonna be able to book the same scale of acts...

I'm not talking about specifically trance djs, I'm just talking about djs in general, they are booking less and less 'big names' each year. Obviously the afterburner and Sub Club tent have really good line ups, but it would be good to see some more mainstream djs in the Clash tent.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
