I dont like

the braying hunter welly brigade

the utter whoppers organising "flash mobs" on facebook

anyone using that gas

90% of the crowd

90% of the music on the big stages

queuing to get into the late night area

tents that dont let you drink your own alcohol

the bad drugs on sale

the police, especially those c**ts who patronise us by "getting into the spirit of the festival" by wearing tutus while claiming double pay overtime for being there. Just fuck off and let us ge ton with it. You are a c**t

the destruction of the outdoor cinema field to make way for the VIP c**ts. Shocking decision. Watching the film on the thursday night with a massive reefer and a few bottles of brothers cider was a thing of beauty.

brothers having to stop selling cider in 2 litre bottles because the w*nker new crowd cant handle their drink and cant use litter bins.

Pick pockets; thieving b'stards!

Had my pocket dipped in 09 whilst watching The Specials - ruined my fest for about 30 mins. Eventually calmed down, mate subbed me for rest of w/e; lesson learned.

Same note; being overly paranoid about personnal security (now use the free security lock up tents - small donation to charity).

Balloon sucking teenagers - wtf, don't get it.

Missing the milk tractor again. :)

I completely get where you're coming from with that and I largely agree, but....

It's 'traditional' for those 'VIPs' to be housed in a central location, and many still are I think (I've not taken much notice tbh. While I could camp 'VIP', I don't).

The field that was the cinema field got taken over by those 'VIPs' because they'd out-grown the space between

So, while it's a shame to lose that field it could have been worse. A more traditional approach would have seen them given a field that inconvenienced people more than the old cinema field does.

Earlier last decade I seem to remember it being called the One World Stage? Maybe 2003ish? :dontknow:

yep, for one year only, before reverting back to Jazzworld. There's several reasons going around for why it was renamed then, one being that that Yes didn't fit the Jazzworld name.

The reason for the change away from Jazzworld is supposedly because the name was putting off acts from playing there that the stage wanted to have play there, because the name put a narrow focus on the ideas people had of what the stage was about.

Then again, given some of the crackin' line-ups that stage had over the years, it didn't seem to be problem. :D

Yeah, I was smacked off my tits all weekend LOL. Obviously not, My experience with the kids last year was totally different as I wasnt a gurning mess, hardly had a drink all weekend and made the weekend about them and my experience with them.

When theyre not with me its a different matter, I was a gurning mess for 5 days on my stag weekend at Glasto 09.

    • I am very possibly wrong about this but I do think that the pitch you get allocated appears to be related to your time of arrival, (i.e. you get the next one available) rather than the price you paid for a small, medium or large pitch.  They all appear to be the same size to me.

    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
    • Said it before, but if Annie Lennox is available next year, then it would be an absolute crime to instead book anyone else. She's rare and legendary enough that you drop all other plans.
