Why do people think rage are gonna headline next year now!? No reunion hype +no new material = no point

Probably for the same reason that they think they're going to headline this year - they want them to.

This was ruled out by Tom though...

He said they had no plans beyond the end of 2012, which was before that comment (that's the last thing I heard him say anyway)

Yeah, and that :P

Nope Tom tweeted that it wasn't happening.

He never said anything about them having any shows planned, but deffo ruled out the new material.

Appreciate the enthusiasm but 'no new rage album' is kinda like 'not seeing a unicorn'. It's not exactly NEWS.

QOTSA are only never gonna headline R+L because you don't like them. The Prodigy are gonna be everywhere next year and R+L aren't gonna let them headline if they're headlining IOW, Other Stage at Glasto and R1/NME at T - sub perhaps. I don't know if QOTSA would come back next Summer to sub. They're playing almost every fest they can this year.

You mean like when R&L had them as a sub in 2009, they headlined IOW, headlined rockness and headlined Glasto other stage on the sunday night?

IOW have been giving them headline slots for a long time regardless.

Lets go with

R&L: Rage, Arctics, QOTSA (Prodigy subbing)

V: Blur, Lady Gaga

IOW: The Prodigy, The Who, Mumford & Sons

DL: NIN, Pearl Jam, ???

Glasto: The Who, Kasabian, Rihanna

T: Arctics, Prodigy, Lady Gaga

Bestival: Daft Punk + two others who nobody can call :P

Sorted ;)

Let's go then. :P

Glastonbury: Arcade Fire, The Stone Roses, Lady GaGa

T in the Park: Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, Muse

V Festival: Lady GaGa, Muse

Isle of Wight: Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Aerosmith

Download: Nine Inch Nails, Pearl Jam, Tool

And that would most definitely see me at Download if it wasn't for exams.

Glastonbury: Arcade Fire, The Stone Roses, Gaga.

Isle Of Wight: Macca, Muse, Aerosmith

If every festival I listed was right, I think I might go to T in the park or glastonbury.

Merh I don't keep up with what Mumford are doing because I hate them. As long as they stay well away from R&L I don't care
