alright, calm it, if you look back at the start people did, no need to go over the top

That's because the thread was started at the same time as the 2013 line-up one, so nobody knew the 2013 headliners when they were predicting Biffy and Green Day for 2014. Nobody predicted the same headliners two years in a row so I'm not sure why you'd make a point of claiming that you can't believe they did.

Band of Skulls is my plan too. I reckon they will have a tiny little crowd though!

Going through the Reading clashfinder now and I've marked off 27 bands I want to see. That's not bad considering I thought the lineup was pretty sub-par initially.

I was going to crack that joke :( But cheers for the info! could the likes of superfood/happyniess be announced or are they too big? I have no grasp on how large these bands are or how small introducing bands are

well crucially its BBC introducing, so any of the bands featured on either Huw Stevens or Jen and Allys show are the ones picked.

Very small bands normally

Just want to make sure as clashes alter it a bit

Friday - 23

Main - 9

NME - 6

Dance - 2

Lock Up - 2

Festival Republic - 3

1xtra - 1

Saturday - 26

Main - 7

NME - 10

Dance - 1

The Pit - 6

Festival Republic - 2

1xtra - 0

Sunday - 18

Main - 7

NME - 3

Dance - 1
Lock Up - 6

Festival Republic - 1

1xtra - 0

Total - 67

Even though there are more bands I want to see on the Saturday, still like the Friday the most due to the fact I prefer the bands on that day. But overall very good and I'm looking forward to it and I'm sure there will be a few more if a few stages open early I guess :)

Sunday: 15 Acts (5 Main, 6 NME, 3 Dance Stage, 1 Lock Up, 0 FR, 0 1xtra)

Total: 42

Main: 15

NME: 12

Dance Stage: 11

Lock Up / The Pit: 3

FR: 0

1xtra: 1

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
