well well well.....what do we have here.

Firstly, gutted for the indie kids, must be a shock not having 1 of those horrid bands take a high slot at a fest.

Secondly, I'm proud of Reading this year. Look at the headliners and subs, all either haven't played reading in a while, or are abit different to their usual bookings. No bands hogging spots they don't deserve, and a great mix too.

About Green Day, they won't play much new stuff and I'm sure they'll put on a grande, lively, and greatest hits type show. Billie needs to raise his game after his meltdown, and I'm sure he'll give it his all. System and Deftones before that are phenomenal

Chase and Status - they know how to put on a show! I'm sure alot of people will be there who will leave before Eminem, and I reckon they'll get 1 of the biggest crowds of the weekend. Foals deserve 3rd with an awesome new album - Bloc Party would have been better, and maybe might still happen, but other then that - cool. Hoping for another stage headliner to be great but if not, Magnetic Man will be fine to get on down too.

Sunday - I knew FOB were gonna be 3rd. Nine Inch Nails is just a stunning booking to get back and I urge everyone to watch vids of their show from Reading 07 - I agree with everyone that we have the best subs in Reading for a long while, and all the headliners are gonna have to be on their game to not be stood up.

Other then that, its all what I expected really. All the current NME/Radio 1 hype littering the lineup with the odd gem - NFG playing sticks and stones in full will be great, as well Frank Turner, and Twin Atlantic. Thats what its about for me now, we have a strong top 3 mainstage, its just getting enough littler bands to make it even better.

Bands to get - Ash, Feeder, Pure Love, Subways, Billy Talent, Jimmy Eat World

General reaction from my mates and me is that Saturday's good if you jump between NME and Main, Sunday's main is good, and that Friday's Main is a bit lacking.

As you can tell we're not metal fans.

    • I have no issue with the Primavera crowd in most respects. They’re always friendly, respectful and no hint that there could be trouble at any point.   However…the talking is horrific here. The xx was pretty much ruined for me due to people having conversations with their mates the whole way through. Noticed it from all different nationalities across the weekend…English, Irish, Spanish etc. There seems to be no understanding of the nuances of when it’s okay to talk and when it isn’t. And obviously the sound being quiet at a lot of spots on the main stages exacerbates the issue. That alone has made me reconsider whether I will be coming back, it would probably take a lineup as good as this year (unlikely)

    • I found the vibe a little different to recent editions.. definitely an older crowd, less queer, less Spanish.. certainly has something to do with the lack of Glastonbury this year. And I felt Saturday was a little overcrowded. I‘ve never seen Mordor as full as last night for the xx and Gorillaz. Did not enjoy that too much.
    • Not my favourite year either, despite liking the lineup more than previous years. Not sure what it was, I guess Thursday really put the brakes on things. But yeah I'll be back next year hopefully. And maybe Massive Attack will return...
    • E-mail summarizing Saturday - Primavera Sound 2026 Journal Day 3. As in previous days, it's going to be on the website soon, I think.
